Remington Core-Lokt ammunition was the first and original controlled expansion bullet and remains the standard of big-game bullet performance. Its level of reliability is only exceeded by the amount of game it has taken over the years. These cartridges feature the SP (soft point) or the PSP (pointed soft point) Core-Lokt bullets. The Remington Core-Lokt design locks the progressively heavier jacket mid-section to the lead core, preventing separation, yet allowing maximum energy transfer. The result is a bullet that stays together on impact, expands in a controlled manner, and mushrooms uniformly to nearly twice the original diameter. 20 rounds per box. "im 14 and last year i dropped my first deer in its tracks with this product in 30-06 it before that i always go to the range shooting 243, 270, and 30-06 i love these bulletts i would go with psp for better trajectory also"

"i have used 30-06 Remington ammo for years now and i wouldn't use any other. i have taken elk and deer with this ammo at 180 grain bullets and they worked just fine for what i was hunting."

"Have used a variety of ammunition to harvest many deer over last 10 years. This season I used the Reminton Core-lokt in both my 7mm and daughter's .243. A very large doe was taken with the 7mm and she dropped in her tracks and a nice 7pt dropped on the 2nd shot with the .243. Very nice result as tracking wounded deer is not my favorite part of hunting."

"I have used this ammo for years and have taken several deer with it. It is a flat shooting round with high energy and great expansion. I have never had a bullet seperate. I have a Remington 700 SPS in .270 Win and this ammo shoots tight groups (7/8 inch) whether I am using the 130 grain for antelope or the 150 grain for deer. In my .30-30 this round shoots 1.2 inches at a hundred yards. Oh yeah, and all for around 20 bucks."

Great round with dropping power,December 23, 2007

"I was looking for a great deer hunting round for my Remington semi auto .270. I was experiencing misfeeds with Winchester ammo. After reading other reviews of this ammo, I decided to try it. Two days after getting a box, a shot a 160 lb doe that dropped right where she stood. I then shot another doe that was with her and she dropped within 20 yards. Based on my first two kills, I have to say that this load is great and I recommend it highly."

"I use the .270 PSP 130 grain and it will group at 2 inches at 200 yards. With good shot placement it is whitetail magic and my last two deer dropped right in their tracks at about 150 yards. If you want excellent performance this is the ticket, you won't be disappointed with this round."

"I shoot a Remington 700 SPS and love this bullet. I was a little worried at first, since I have always shot Winchester, however I sighted it in at 150 yards and shot 1/2 inch groups consistantly. I have no doubt I will have no trouble killing deer with this bullet."

"This box of ammuntion is the best you will ever buy for deer hunting. last year it helped me take dow a beautiful 9 pt. buck in south carolina. i highly recommend it for serious deer hunters. =). i like it best because remington makes their own brand of powder and it doesnt corrode your gun barrel as fast."
