Great purchase

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Value for money, Quality
"I purchased 1 of these for my mom (she's 90). It worked as well (or better) than the expensive hearing aids she had for years. It worked so well that I replaced her other hearing aid with another from Bass Pro Shops. I don't think we will go back to the expensive, complicated hearing aids. No need."

"I purchased the
walker's Game Ear II no only for hunting but for general help in hearing. have been to several hear aid places and been quoted with the high prices. The game ear II works just great I can hear as well as i could with the expensive hearing aides they put on me at the hearing aid office. I use it daily. I do not have to turn the radio or tv up so high. I can hear what people are saying around me. I do not have trouble with it making any whistling noises. It is so lite and comfortable I forget I have it on

Increased hearing

"These really increased my hearing tremendously. I have two ear muffs from Walker's Game ear and they are only about half or less as strong.....and they are awesome. I have to actually turn them down because it is just too loud at times. I could actually hear quail walking through a soy bean field in front of me!! No problems so far with them working."

Advantages: Durability, Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Value for money, for the most part-- idiot proof!!!
"Hi, I'm 57 years old and have great hearing. I been a sportsman all my life, hunting, fishing, auto racing etc.. My wonderful wife gave me a Walkers game ear 2 for a Christmas gift last year. I didn't get a chance to use it until this hunting season. Wow, what a product! How I can get in my tree stand and hear a deer walking a couple of minutes before they are visible. I have to say this product is almost an unfair advantage, but I wouldn't hunt without one now!---Thanks WALKER for making a product that lives up to EXPECTATIONS!!!!!!!"

Good investment

"After a severe infection, both of my eardrums were damaged causing significant loss in both ears.
When I heard about this item I was anxious to try it.
1. This item does not help with all hearing loss issues...but it was perfect for mine as amplification was all I needed. I suggest a hearing diagnosis from a specialist before purchasing.
2. Since it is not professionally fitted, I suggest preparing to take time, minimal adjusting to gradually get it to the right fit. The foam and the tubing need to be trimmed to fit.
For some people this might be a real challenge. Help from a friend might be helpful. Once I adjusted mine, I barely notice it there anymore....and it does not 'pop out' at all.
3 The foam covering is difficult to replace..the one that comes with it has the hole already in it but replacements do not. This makes replacing difficult. I am going to contact the manufacturer to see if replacements with the holes already built in are available.
All in all...I am very satisfied with my purchase. Most likely I will begin to save to buy the professional digitally personalized hearing aide in a few years, but this device is serving it's purpose by restoring the joy of hearing on my budget..
For the price I give it a 4 star rating...

Poorly made

"I have both 1 & 2, the first one worked well for about a year, then nothing. I only purchased the second, thinking they improved. It works well, but the part that goes in the ear doesn't want to stay, and in cold weather, you almost have to tape it to your ear. Also, hard to replace that part when it gets dirty."
