Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Ease of use
"havent had any issues after 15 days on water, seems tough enough to handle the odd snag on oyster shells but still supple , this my first SA line. gonna try it for freshwater lakes up in maine next, should be fun to cast from a bass boat as it is easy to to shoot make quick casts with. i will give 5 stars if it stands up to a year of heavy fishing"

Bones, Bones, Bones

"I'm just back from Christmas Island for a week's flyfishing for Bonefish. I used SA Redfish Tropicore lines in #8 and #9 weights exclusively for the week. I also had SA Bonefish #8s and SA Striper Bass #9, both Tropicore, lines with me. I used two #8 weight rods a 7'11' Sage and a 9' ProAngler Saltwater, Aussie brand similar to a Nativerun.
When the wind was up over 25 knots I used the #9 weight line. The #8 weight line was used when the wind was at the 15 to 25 knot strength. These lines are a half weight heavy with a short head length, 30ft, so they load the rod easily especially when there is only a stort amout of lines off the tip of the rod.
I did not have any trouble with these lines in the hard casting conditions handed out at Christmas Island and will definitely use SA Redfish Tropicore there on my next trip, unless something better comes along.
These lines also perform very well in tropical Australia where water temps can be 80 F in the winter and mid 80s in the summer when the air temps are 95+.
Total Bones for the week 84.
Yes I am very happy with the performance of these lines."

Not sure about this line

Advantages: Style/Design, nice color
Disadvantages: Difficult to use, Performance, Durability
"Ive only cast this a few times, 9wt, floating, temp above 90F. Seems like it does not cast as well as I expected its limp enough but retains kinks even after stretching I find it almost impossible to straighten out and I am considering returning it for an exchange if allowed to."

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Value for money, Quality
Disadvantages: none
"I started saltwater fly fishing in 2007 and have used several different lines, but had to come back to the Scientific Angler brand I've trusted for years. I haven't been disappointed. The 8 wt line I use casts and turns over well. It also casts poppers and big flies accurately to distant Reds and Trout. I prefer it to the Ovis line I used to use."

Best fly line I've used

,

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design
Disadvantages: expensive
"The line perfoms great. The first thing I noticed about this line is it's stiff and thin, even the head, I had negative thoughts about its performace at first. I bought this line in the winter, it takes a few casts to straiten out in the colder months here in south florida. The couple times I did go fishing so far this winter I brought this line and a TFO series one 8wt, and the line matches the rod well. It loads the rod good and really sails when i shoot it, also it lands very soft on the water which is a huge advatage when sight casting to spooky Reds, Snook . Once I got used to a shooting taper line I loved it. The only problem I had with it is that it sinks very slowly. Keep an eye on this line is when your running a trolling moter, or other obstuctions like oyster bars. I had a pro fly angler reccommend this line. Despite its bouyency I really like this line and expect many seasons of fishing with it."
