Great for freshwater applications too
"I picked up some of these to try on one of my Bass Pro Shops visits while searching the Saltwater section. I use them for striper fishing due to their strength and longer hook when using any trout, shad, or minnow type soft plastic bait. The hook sets a little farther down and it changes the action a little and sometimes that is all the edge you need to land the bigger ones. They cast well, hold your plastics well and are fairly snag free when used through the types of cover the big stripers like to lurk in."

"I fish jigs/lead heads a lot (mostly in salt water) and these are my favorites for use with soft plastics.
My #1, go-to lure for striped bass?--One of these with a sluggo. Bluefish?-One of these with a curly tail grub.
Sometimes these will take fish when nothing else works.
This is a very good price also."

"deadly jighead for weakfish,bluefish,sea trout,fluke, or southern flounder....smallish head really stays put in the fishes mouth..perfect balance of hook an head shape does not cause the jig to fall out when the fish shakes its head or jumps....perfect for plastic ...gulp...power baits or any organic based or plastic grub or bait tail used....heads do not come in to many colors.....thats good....keep it simple and that puts more fish in the boat or shore....and the jig really stands up to saltwater corrosion.....you also feel the jig on the cast and during the retrieve, when the jig hits the bottom or structure you really feel it in rod or your hand....excellent transmission of whats going on the end of your line.............."

"What can you say when you catch a limit on a bait that leaves you money for gas home.
Stuff a 3 or 4 inch grub on one of these babies and fish for stripers like you would for blacks.
Call me tight but it's still a fact, Not a better bait for stripers anywhere.....
