"I purchased this knife last year and have used it on one deer so far and it worked very well. This is the first knife I have used with the gut hook option and I found that to be useful in avoiding piercing the abdomen. This is the first knife I have owned that I haven't felt the need to resharpen after season end as it appears to be as sharp as when I purchased it. Another plus with this knife is it's relatively compact shape so that it doesn't feel uncomfortable on your belt."
