SavageOmega, November 9, 2006
By SuccessinNewMexico from Southern Sierra Nevada Mountains, California

"I selected the Nikon Omega due to the fact that it was designed specifically for Muzzleloaders. The camo pattern blended well with the camo on my Savage ML10. I especially liked the yardage graduations in the reticle. Easy to see, easy to use. Sighted the rifle in using the crosshairs at 100 yards. Rifle was dead on target. Moved to a 200 yard target with the 200 yard reticle and the rifle was still dead on. Succesful hunt in New Mexico. Four by Four @ 183 yards. Congratulations to the folks at Nikon. Excellent scope."

Best Blackpowder Scope Ever, October 24, 2009
By ousoonerfan from Central Mass

Advantages: Ease of use, Quality

"My first review ever, but had to express my feelings about this scope. I was skeptical about the video associated with this scope and the claim that a simple zeroing at 100 yds was all that was needed. After I purchased this scope I took it to the range and followed the simple instructions provided and within 5 shots had the scope zeroed at 100 yds. After that I was able to use the BDC and put the bullet center target at 150 and 200 on the first shot. This is an awesome scope and will be more than worth the money spent when I can reach out to up to 250 yds and drop that deer."

BDC Is Dead on, February 5, 2009
By BowTechMan from Mt. Pleasant, NC

"I purchased this scope for my T/C Encore. WOW, what an amazing scope. I shoot 250 grain Hornady SST's and 150 grains of powerdex pellets. Sighted the rifle in at 100 yards on the cross hairs and I couldnt believe how accurate all of the reticles are! My friends didnt believe that this scope with given bullet and powder weights could do this until I proved it to them at the range. I will suggest that you "lap" your barrel of your muzzleloader before firing the first shot. I used JB's bore compound and ran about 900-1,000 patches through my barrel. All you do is add a minute amount of JB's to a cotton patch and run it 25 times, change swabs and 25 times. repeat this 100 times (4 sets) then use a dry patch for 25 and then continue with the compound. Keep this rotation until at least 900 passes. Yes you will have a sore shoulder but loading and cleaning will be a breeze and you will be suprised at how muh junk comes out of your barrel from the factory. I am not scared to shoot out to that 200 or even 250 yard mark after this with this scope."

nikon muzzleloader scope, December 7, 2008
By MrHuntalot from Jeffersonville, In

"My muzzleloader with this Nikon scope is the ultimate hunting gun. I will only use this set up now because I love this scope. I shot a nice buck early in the morning because of the ability to pick up necessary light for those early moving deer. This scope is also very clear and the scope you will want to use. Promise."

GREAT SCOPE, September 29, 2008
By JAFO from MIA,FL

"I installed this scope on a T/C Triumph 50 cal muzzleloader. Very clear optics even in low light. I used Shock Wave Super Glide Sabots 250gr bullets and Pyrodex pellets. After sighting in at 25 yards only a small adjustment got me zeroed at 100 yards. Using the BDC reticle at 150 and 200 yards gave me better accuracy than I could hold. Nikon has done there homework, I LOVE THIS SCOPE!!!!!!!!"

Clarity rules, September 17, 2008
By click76 from Mc Lean, Virginia

"I have used this scope for a year and it has given me no problems. Best of all the clarity is excellent. The light gathering quality and the need to use the scope in dim light is critical for catching most game movement. It is worth the cost to have a dependable scope."

Great Scope, March 4, 2008
By MossyoakinTN from Tennessee

"Bought the realtree pattern scope and mounted it on T/C .50 Triumph with the mossyoak pattern. Love the BDC and was shooting 1 inch groups at 100 yards. I was able to take down a doe at 80 yards and a buck at 100 yards. This is a great scope and plus you can't beat the Nikon warranty!!!"

Must Have Purchase for muzzleloaders, November 17, 2007
By BlackPowder from Hampton, VA

"I have looked high and low to find anything comparable to this scope and its just not out there. This will be by far your best friend on any muzleloader. I bought the camo version of this scope and it fits like a glove on my camo TC Arms Trimuph. Could not ask for a better set up or ease of use. The image is crystal clear and the BDC targeting makes life so much easier. The only thing that I would like to see Nikon add, is the flip up scope covers. I had to by these seperate from Bass Pro otherwise. Its a must have."

Great Scope, November 6, 2007

"i bought this scope for my T/C pro hunter and could not be happier with it. It is easier to judge distances and takes the guess work out of making longer shots with your muzzelloader."

WOW!!!!!, December 3, 2006
By chrisM from Indiana

"Follow the load recomendations and then the confidence in your muzzleloading range beyond 150yards becomes a reality that good shots at 200 to 250yards can be obtained without the guessing of bullet trajectory at those distances. this scope is a must for any muzzleloader. Great job Nikon and T/C ARMS."

Omega on my Omega, September 9, 2006
By antlers from Cincinnati, OH

"I bought this scope to put on my Omega muzzleloader. Using the Luepold Quick Release base and rings this scope mounted up quickly and I was amazed at the eye relief. It moved the scope away from my eye and the Luepold base and rings raised the scope away from the hammer allowing thumb room to let the hammer down if necessary. The scope is very durable, bright and the adjustments are very easy to use. Alignment was a breeze and the scope is really top notch. It is just what you would expect for the price range. I know looks are supposed to be irrelevant but the Realtree Camo scope looks sleek on the Omega Muzzeloader with the same camo pattern on the thumbhole rifle stock. I have confidence in the entire package. It is top class."
