Perfect for up to 12-lb. anchors. The free-spooling reel stops when the anchor hits bottom. To reel in, simply crank. If the hand slips, the anchor and handle stop right there. When not in use, the line remains stored on the reel, and the anchor is held by the bow fixture. Easily installed, fits flat or curved hulls. (Rope not included.) Capacity: 100' of 3/16". Mounting surface: 5-1/2"x5-1/2"x5-1/2". Color: Black.

"I use this when I'm on my friends boat, it's works great. The reel is at the back and the anchor is on the bow. He has CPVC mounted alond side the edge of the boat which the anchor line runs through so it doesn't get in the way. Goes up and down with ease (minus the weight of the anchor). I am putting one on my boat this weekend if it doesn't rain."

A classic,July 29, 2008

"This is a great product. Simple design and well built. I've got one on the front and plan on setting one up on the rear. The one caveat that I didn't find out about until I read the instructions inside the box is that you are not supposed to run the boat at speed with the anchor hanging. You are supposed to put the anchor in the boat or damage to the reel may result. This was unacceptable to me, the whole point is to not have to get up and mess with the anchor. What I did as a solution is to install a Marine Boat Gripper just ahead of the reel. When I get ready to motor, I reel in the anchor, hold the line, release a little slack and run it through the Gripper. That way the reel is protected because the Gripper holds the weight, it has worked perfectly for 2 years. You can also get the Anchormate 2 which pivots and stows the anchor on top. I don't like that because it would interfere with my boat cover and I don't have the room for it anyway."

Anchor Mates work!!,August 18, 2007

"I had these on my old boat and am buying two more for my current boat. They are perfect when you're alone and need to quickly release two anchors at the same time to get the perfect position in waters with a current. Saves time and energy hauling on the anchor line hand over hand.... you just crank, and up they come, perfectly seated every time."
