Disadvantages: Performance
"I said I would recommend this to a friend just because I don't think it is that bad that I wouldn't recommend it. Works well as long as they stay on. That is my biggest problem, keeping them on my dog's feet. When wearing the boots on the front feet, I don't have a problem, the ones on the back feet just won't stay put. They slide down to where my dog is walking on the neoprene part and not the reinforced bottoms."

could use some work

"The boot fit is a little strange and bigger than you would think. The kevlar is just around the edge and not the bottom so not much good with sandburs and tack weed. I had to disasemble the boot and change the design to fit my dog. If someone out there knows of a better kevlar dog shoe please let me know. My dog has a bum leg and drags her rear leg so the redesigned boot works well but the bottom wears out."

Good product

"I purchased these boots to protect my GSP front feet after a foot infection. My dog is out in the field a lot during pheasant season. The boots fit well even though they sent me 3 boots labeled large and one labeled medium. I taped them on with athletic tape to insure a good fit. The boots lasted for about 10 trips then the bottoms gave out so if your looking for something to use many, many times, these will not hold up. So don't believe the bulletproof claim. They did. however, serve there purpose for me."

Get the right fit

"Used these boots on my GSP here in the New Mexico Desert from the sand hills to the foot hills after both Blue @ Bob White Quail. Every thing here either sticks stings or bites. I had to Go one size smaller than the info recomended to get a good fit . Now i spend more time hunting and less time removing stickers, Rocky likes that. I also prefer to use the medical tape that adhers to itself rather than duct tape. OOOrah"

Pretty good

"I bought a set for my GSP. We hunt quail in the So Cal desert where there's lots of cactus needles and other poky things on the ground. The boots only picked up two stickers in two trips. The stickers were turned and never entered the dog's foot. On a non-booted trip to this area, I would normally remove numerous stickers from her feet.
The boots fit all four feet fine. I did duct tape them on to be sure that she didn't lose them. They were easy to install and remove. The velcro worked well.
I ran her for a total of about 10 hours (three trips) in the boots. The first 8 hours (two trips) was in sand and smooth river rock and the boots held up fine. The last two hours were on sharp, rough rock and she wore holes in all four of the boots. I'm buying a second set but I've got a cheaper set that I'll be using on rough rock.
So, bottom line is they fit all feet fine; they're great for sandy and smooth rock surfaces; they turn or repel cactus needles and other stickers well; they don't hold up on rough or sharp rock surfaces but that's not what I bought them for."

They Just Don't Fit

"I've
not used these before, but I've tried two sizes on my dog, and neither
of them are comfortable enough for her to wear. She is a 90 lb. Lab,
and the boots just do not fit her correctly. Now, I'm stuck with four
teflon/neoprene dog boots. Perhaps they would make nice gifts as
handbags for the women in my life at Christmas.

Red Head Bulletproof Dog Boots

"I ordered the boots for upland bird hunting and the front two feet fit fine but the back two did not fit at all, infact I could not even make them work. But the front did stay on with a little help from some duck tape. I needed some boots for all four feet and these did not work at all."
