By goodrat79from upper peninsula, michigan
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"I used to use regular aberdeens for wacky rigs but was told these have a better hookup ratio. Well, they do. I got these in 1/0, 3/0, and 5/0. They all work great."

Great multispecies hook,June 3, 2009
By Tippstro09from Ohio
"I've been using these hooks for a couple years, mostly for catfish, and it's definitely my favorite hook for fishing with bait. They're really sharp, so they go through baitfish pretty easy, and the bigger hooks are really strong, so big fish can't straighten them. I've been using the 8/0, and 10/0 for flatheads. And I've used the 6/0 for bigger channel cats all the way down to #6 for smaller catfish, bass, and large panfish. They're a little expensive compared to some hooks, but you have to pay for the quality."

Great Octopus Hooks,August 30, 2008
By mokanfrom missouri ozarks
"Great hooks. Sharp! I use the attractor colors alot for crappie fishing. #6 Gamakatsu hooks have caught me loads of fish. I 'd prefer bronze over black, silver, blue, nickel hooks. Just personal preference.
Between the attractor colors and regular bronze, there are days when I have a noticeable boost in bites. Gamakatsu Octopus hooks are always with me. I use many different hooks. And have caught numbers of crappie and walleye with these Gamakatsu's. Recommended."

Nice Hooks,October 8, 2007
By Fishey1from Mississippi
"I like this hook in a size 6 for trout. The fish dont swallow these hooks as bad as they do other hooks. This makes catch and release easier."
