Not Sharp Enough

Advantages: Ease of use, Value for money
Disadvantages: Performance, Durability, not sharp!
"I do plenty of live-lining when fishing the So Cal SW scene. I have used other Mustad hooks over the years with great success. So, when their brand of live bait hook was all that was available to me for some inshore Calico and Bonito action I didn't even hesitate.
Now, perhaps I just got a bad batch of the model 94150 hooks. But, every single hook in that 50 pack needed sharpening out of the box. Sure, they were still strong, held the bait well and secured any hooked fish proficiently (after some impromptu honing). But, I don't expect to have to sharpen a brand new hook!
I'm very disappointed.

"I use these hooks as a single hook replacement for treble hooks on my freshwater lures. They are strong and sharp and its easy to open the eye of the hook. They also are great for piranha for my South American trips."

"I have successfully used these with pinfish down in the 10000 islands, but they did need sharpening. Price is good if you dont mind using the sharpener. I am a bigger fan of the Owner, but they are alot more money. But on these, I landed 3 tarpon at 60lbs., 20 Jacks, 5 snook, and 2 grouper casting into the Mangrove roots. I liked them fine. But I do want mine sharper so I did work on them. But they last."
