"I just picked up this fletching jig in the store after reading many online reviews. It's larger/heavier than it appears in the photos on the BassPro website. I was pleasantly surprised.
Initial setup is the key, and the instructions are good, but not great. For me, the key was dry fitting the arrows in the jig and getting everything adjusted properly before I started working with adhesive. After that, it was a snap.
I'm using 4-inch (RH) feathers in the (RH) helical clamp. I couldn't be happier. I shot my newly re-fletched arrows today with broadheads (the day before opening day - what was I thinking?!?!) ... And they performed flawlessly. After months of practice - I am SOooo ready to hunt tomorrow, partly because this jig was instrumental in precisely creating my new helical fletch. Thanks Bohning and thanks BassPro."

"this jig can be a little odd to use if you apply too much pressureo n the shaft, as it tends to move if you do.
once you get used to using it, fletching arrows is a breeze.

"Bought this jig with straight clamp since have only shot straight fletching. Now switching to fixed blade broadheads and will need a helix. This allows a slight offset that I need. Very easy to setup. I attached mine to a piece of 2 X 8 and it is very steady. There are no guides as to the degree of offset but since I have not been using any offset before this was no problem for me to align my fletching. For the money cannot be beaten. Took it out of package and had 6 arrows fletched with Blazers in less that an hour, can do many more now that I have the offset how I want it. Uses all vanes and feathers without problem. Only thing I do not like is it is made of cheap plastic, but don't abuse it and you should have no problems! Be sure to wipe excess glue off of clamp after each use."

"I hadn't fletched my own arrows in years since switching to carbon and vanes from aluminum and feathers, so I thought it was time I tried again. I purchased this jig as it was inexpensive and I wouldn't be out big bucks if I didn't get it done right. I was wrong. It was easy and effective. Actually better than the pro shop I used last summer. His fell off. Mine are still on. Put it on a block of wood and it helps. I haven't tried Blazers in it yet, but 4 in vanes are simple!"

"This is the first time I've attempted to fix my own fletchings on my arrows. Instead of paying someone else to do it for me. I was very pleased with the Bohning jig. Now all my buddies want me to fix the fletchings for them. The jig pays for it's self the first time you use it. I could'nt be more satisfied thanks Bohning company."

"There is a reason that Bitzenburgers (sold thru Bass pro)are the best. This is a knock off of the bitzy and you get what you pay for. Buy a Bitzy and you won't need another. yea they cost more but that is why they have a better quality. This is a plastic version and by no means compares to a bitzy"
