"I bought the rip cord luv it, have it on a PSE X Force
Dream Season, I have shot hundreds of arrows from this rest, I found it quiet & smooth & reliable, I have used it in sub zero to +30c it has performed well in all conditions, like any archery accessory you have to tweek them to your preference. I found it easy to set up & tune & it stayed tuned. I would recomend this to anyone who wants a quality product 5stars!!!!!

Way to loud, August 24, 2009
By Tiger9199 from cincinnati

Advantages: Durability, Performs well
Disadvantages: Quality, loud

"I bought this rest before last season, I got it set pperfectly and enjoyed how fast it was. After about 200 shots the thing started to make alot of noise during draw. I tried mole skin, teflon, tape, grease, wax, and everything else people told me to try. No luck getting it to quiet down. Time for a new rest."

I did it!!
User submitted photo
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, better accuracy
Disadvantages: hard to tune for an average joe

"This is a good rest once you get it dialed in. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get a quality, quiet fall-away. If you don't have a lot of experience setting them up, I reccomend a pro shop. I did mine myself but, it was frustrating getting it tuned properly. Other than that I love it!! BTW I switched from the Whisker Biscuit, not that it's a bad rest, I just wanted more accuracy."

Awsome Product, February 10, 2009
By NORTEXHUNTER from Denton, Tx

"I started out with the hostage arrow rest and found it too hard to get in tune. I bought a whisker biscuit and it tore the viens off my arrows. So I finally went with this rest and after having it tuned at a local archery shop, I robin hooded my first arrows. This rest has increased my arrow speed by almost 15 fps from the hostage. Its the best of both worlds, arrow is secure and does not contact the fletchings. I have read that some folks have problems with the rest getting out of the way in time and causing contact with the fletchings but I have found where this is, 90% of the time, due to poor bow tuning. Take a chance on this rest, you will not be sorry."

Great arrow rest, November 16, 2008
By bowfreak21 from Georgia

"This rest is the prime example of how a drop away rest should operate. The QAD hd is about 134.00 bucks and its an ok rest you can get this rest which has the same concept for 84 bucks. Also the QAD hd does not have as much wind adjustments as this rest so that means if you shoot any bow that has a thick riser you are going to have a little problem trying to center it.
this a great rest and will improve your accuracy.

One concern, November 15, 2008
By MAC67 from Northeast

"I've had the rest mounted on a Bowtech Liberty for 2 seasons w/no problems. This year I added a new string. After about 6 arrows the laucher failed to drop, subsequently tearing it off. I run my release cord thru a the anchor point on a Sim's cableslide. It's never been an issue. The people at Ripcord say it's a big no no. You have to serve in the release cord BELOW the rest w/either the little football or direct serve. They are sending me a new laucher free of charge. With out a back up, I'm looking at 4-5 days down. Not good right in the middle of the season. (For whatever reason the local pro shops to not carry replacement launchers). I like drop-away's and prefer the Ripcord, but there is something to be said about the simplicity of a Whisker. You decide."

works half the time, November 5, 2008
By ndbuchko from FT POLK, LA

"I have two problems with this rest:

1. The rest does not fall all the time. When you lock it in the up position to hold the arrow in place when i fire it does not drop. I screwed up two arrows that way. I talked to a couple of different pro shops and they say alot of people have had the same problem. I wish i knew that before spending that kind of money on it.

2. With cock fletching up i continue to get contact with the rest on my left fletching. I have moved the rest and string loop a few times and nothing seems to work. I don't know if my Hoyt is shooting to fast and the rest isn't dropping fast enough.

I will continue to use it the rest of the season, just won't lock the rest up. It still works ok if you don't do that. My advice is to look at the Drop Zone or th Ultra. I have friends that use them and no issues.

good rest small mods needed, March 21, 2008
By JeffFlorida from Florida

"The rest mounts easy and is pretty easy to tune. I like the way the rest locks in the cocked position without drawing your bow. the only complaint is the slight noise made from the rest hitting when its released. I solved this problem with a thin peace of rubber covered with felt on the riser"

Best rest I've ever used, March 4, 2008

"This rest is really easy to set up. Bolts up easily and has great flexibility in the slide adjustments. Rest drops very fast and I love the fact that you can cock the rest to hold the arrow in place. Great rest."

I like it, February 24, 2008
By kmf600 from Florida

"It works great, but it doesn't fit on my Martin very well. After I fabricated a mounting bracket, it works well. It does slap the riser when it falls, but I'm still working on the mounting. Overall it is a good rest."

Good, but flawed, October 18, 2007
By jp4 from dallas, tx

"This rest is very good, I just had one problem. I shoot with my cock vane up, and I use the 2" blazer vanes. My arrows were moving so fast that they were catching the plastic arm that keeps the arrow in place. It sheared the vane right off my arrow. Once I removed the arm from the rest, it worked perfectly."

Great Rest, August 28, 2007
By Devil Doc

"I currently use this rest on my Hoyt Vectrix and I must say that it is a great piece of equipment for any bow hunter. The timing is absolutely perfect and the arrow flight is unhindered. If you shot Hoyt or any other bow I would recommend this product."
