"This treestand is easy to climb, comfortable, and very lightweight. It is worth the money, if you are a larger build person, that needs to climb a tree. I love the arm rests, they provide you with support with the shots that are angling behind you on either side. The first rifle hunt in this stand, I shot an awesome 135" 9 point left handed behind me, I utilized the arm rest for stability.
There is a con. The backpack straps are not secure, and will slide from side to side, this makes it to where the stand is a pain to haul into the woods, but if you are not carrying a pack with it, the problem is not as bad.

"The Summit Goliath is by far the best and most comfortable climber I've ever used. This is number 4 and for a big guy it's sturdy, safe and easy to use. Added side pockets top store haul lines, hooks and folding saw. Only recommendation is to change out the back straps with something that doesn't cut into your shoulders. Those "Claw" rifle slings as pack straps would work great. I've used this climber on softwoods and hardwoods from Louisiana to Tennessee to Virginia and it is in fact the top of the line in my book."

"i borrowed a razor from my brother and had to have one myself but im about 250lbs so i chose the goliath...excellent choice. climbs as easy as the razor and the extra couple inches is very nice. i customized the straps to carry it with cables up. travels much easier than with them down and like most others, i did notice paint flaking off right out of the box but am not concerned with it because i wrapped the whole thing with camo tape anyway. overall i ame extremely pleased"

"I hate heights and hate wobbly platforms. This stand is totally strong and stable. I am really pleased with this stand. Only thing I would find to complain about are the plastic connectors. They are going to eventually break, but no big deal. It's a little hard to shoot a bow sitting down, but I love this stand from a safety view and quality view also. You can't go wrong with this stand."

"I purchased this stand before the "07" archery season after using about 12 other stands in the 18 years I have hunted. "I was injured in Iraq in 2005. I returned home in 2006 and retired after 21 years of service in the U.S. Army. The only thing I wanted to do was get in a tree stand and get that big Buck. I was given the Summit Golliath SS as a gift. I was unsure if I would be able to climb due to my injuries, but it was so easy to operate. Light weight and rugged. The only problem was it was too comfortable. Be carefull in this stand. If you fall asleep you may miss the big one. Great gift. I highly suggest it to anyone looking for a new stand."

"i just bought my goliath in october of 07 and went up north to the club and on thesecond day of using this climber i shot a 4 point with a crossbow. then i used it in gun season a took a 8.5 year old doe out of the herd. now my best friend got one for x-mass and cannot wait for me to show him the ropes of the climber. i've been deer hunting for 41 years without a climber and won't hunt another one without it period. what a view and the whole forest is my treestand NOW!"
