"I love this lure! I have caught more fish on this than real minnows! In winter fish it pretty slow, in the spring summer and fall, fish it close to stumps, fallen trees and anything that has cover for fish and medium fast. For this cover i suggest color: silver shiner. I would suggest the spinning rod and reel is for the weight of this lure."

"The first thing I noticed about this lure was how real it looked swimming in the water.
A friend and I went crappie fishing last spring, I had 10 fish before he caught one. He later switched to the Mimic Minnow and we both caught well over 20 crappie.
Retrieve slow and let the Mimic Minnow do the work."

"saw this lure on the shelf looked like a good lure. but I was suprised how good it was , me and my 11 year old son used this lure at our favorite lake. on a saterday evening and a sunday morning in about two hours each day we caught over thirty bass 20 of them were over 15 inches and the biggest was 22 inches . my son and i both loved it"

"These mimic minnow will always produce fish when used right. I will sometime throw a blade from a beetle spin on with it and the fish go crazy. This lure is made very well and is a steal for this price."

Catches All Species

"I have had very good luck using these for Blue Gill and Crappie but what is amazing is how well they catch other species too. I have never used this bait without catching several largemouth or other species while fishing for panfish. They are not real durable but for the price you can't go wrong."

"This is an awesome product I live in upstate ny near cooperstown and I have used the glow chub and goldenshiner and black and silver and have caught fish with all 3. I caught a huge pickerel this past saturday and 2 bass and 3 perch tonight. the bass were not very big but I havent been on my favorite fishing waters yet. But now I am looking forward to it and I will be buying more.
The only down side is the tail rips off when The smaller fish hit. But I am very satisfied well worth the money"

"I used a 3/8 oz. perch last week on the Susquehanna River near Sunbury, PA and cought 4 smallmouth in 2 hours of fishing. The smallest was 15 inches and the largest was 18 inches. I'm going back for more. Thank you Northland!"

Tough little lure

"Good little bass lure. So far I have caught more bass on this lure than any of this type. You can buy extra bodies for it and that is an added bonus. I use this lure for open water and have had great success. I have only used the firetiger."
