Advantages: Design
Disadvantages: cannot get the seat off
"The seat post does exactly what I wanted it to do. My seat was too close to the foot switches on my trolling motor and this post offset the seat just enough to make it comfortable to operate the trolling motor. The only small problem is I cannot get the seat off the post even though it turns very well."

Advantages: Durability, High Quality
Disadvantages: Difficult to use, design
"Very well made. Strong enough for a big guy. Once it has been screwed into the base it will not rotate. This requires you leave it loose. When it is left loose it has a loose fit causing a slight rocking feel. I will use it anyway."

"I used one of these in a smaller flat bottom boat on the front casting deck. Especially with long legs and a foot controled trolling motor, this post allows you to be as close or as far off of the bow or rail as you need to be. Very durable as I have used mine for 8 years without any issues."
