"There was a shortage of Rattltraps in the New Orleans area due to huge speckled trout being caught on them in Lake Pontchartrain. Thought about my recent Bass Pro Shops magazine, located them, ordered and within days received my shipment. These lures were put to work within 12 hours of receiving them. For the following five days I caught on the average per trip-18 speckled trout, all weighing between 2.5 lbs to 5+ lbs. GREAT LURES...JOHN C. Metairie, LA"

"I used at a tournament this spring on Barren River Lake when the wind got up and you couldn't fish a lighter bait successfully. Comes with very sharp hooks and some excellent paint schemes. You can go to a bigger hook on bait and will not affect action."

"I fish alot off weedy Lakes. This lure in Certain colors can change the whole day. This lure can be thrown on Braid, in a 3 to 4 foot water over weeds on a flat. Dont throw it a mile because you can these lure have Acseptional casting ability,but on ashorter cast rod tip high BURNED over the weeds will get you the big ones This Lure certain colors will save youre whole day,and the price is right. I wiil usually use 20 pound Mon also some give is good. I do change hooks to a DAVID FRITZ VMC surset hook on rear. Help for the short strike. The fish hit hard so HOLD ON."

"I live in Mexico during the winter and fish at Lake Obregon every other week. Without doubt, the most effective hard bait on this lake is the 3/4 ounce Mag Rattletrap in chrome with blue back. One morning last week, my fishing buddy and I caught caught 37 bass (2 to 7 pounds) between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM on the mag trap. The only two baits needed to consistently catch bass here is the mag trap and watermellon with chartruse tail Zoom 8" lizard."

"I love these Mag Traps! I especially like to use them on major musky lakes where a lot of guys will be throwing big bucktails, crankbaits or big soft plastics. Due to that, these things will really stand out and be different.
If you happen to be fishing a lake that has a lot of musky pressure and very little bass pressure, these mag traps will attract huge bass! I've had 2 of my biggest bass ever come on these Rat-L-Traps.
I highly recommend these big traps for great fishing action. Pike can't resist these!"

"We just returned from our second trip of the summer to Canoe Lake, Saskatchewan. I tried a few different lures, but the red Rattlin' Mag Trap ended being the one I threw the most. I lost one to a large northern pike, and the other is chewed up beyond belief. It ended up being my go-to lure for the majority of the trip. The white shad pattern worked well on dull days, but the red one worked best under all conditions."

"I have two of these, but for the spot I fish, #61 literally fishes it clean. It's been true spring weather: windy, temp in the low 60s, and unpredictable rains. With the warmer weather, the fish went on a feeding rampage in preparation for the incoming storms, and wow did this Rat-L-Trap really get 'em. For three days straight, I fished the same cove that's usually gin-clear but was murky due to the runoff and winds, and in those three days I caught over 30 fish moving no more than 10 feet in either direction. When the waters clear, I think this flash is too much. But when it's murky, the vibration brings 'em in and the flash doesn't seem to matter."

"i have used many different lures over the years and none compares to the bill lewis mag traps. lewis had issues in the past with some lines of lures that the paint would almost literally fall off of. i tend to stay with this series ( mag trap ). this lure holds up well to anything. i remember catching 50+ northern a day using my favorite that my fishing partner and i call "big red" ( 76
LECTRIC RED ). this lure is just killer for northern and bass. i caught tons of both bass and northern on this lure alone. these days my tacklebox is filled with 95% lewis lures."
