Awesome!,April 22, 2009
By Clayman492from Eureka, CA
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality Disadvantages: only five to a package
"This is one of my favorite lures to use for rockfish from shore. Rigged Texas-style, it is downright deadly on rockfish, lings, and cabezon. These baits release so much scent that you hardly have to put any effort in giving them action. On terribly slow days, I'll pull these babies out and they'll catch fish even when nothing else is working. Smelt, Camo, and White are my favorite colors. EXCELLENT bait, highly recommended for rockfish lure tossers!"

Great Product,April 7, 2009
By JimmyZfrom San Diego, Ca
"I was fishing in San Diego bay March 21 2009 and never fished this item. I pinned on an Anchovie colored Gulp Jerk Shad in the 41/2" size and caught 30 Sand and spotted bass in 2 hours on the same bait. I lost two baits from broken line situations but not from the fish tearing it off the hook. These baits stick on the hook and are very tough to get off. The next week I went out and bought 3 more packs. Try them, you'll love them too."

good lure,January 4, 2008
By FISHrfrom Jacksonville, Florida
"Berkley Gulp is one of the best and most effective lures in my tackle box. I like to use the new penny and rootbeer colors. I like to rig them on a weighted weedless and they will catch a lot of fish."

Excellent Jerk Bait!,January 4, 2008
By redripperfrom Jacksonville, Florida
"This is a great jerk bait to use for reds. If i come up on a school of reds i will already have a rod rigged with one of these babys. i like to fish this bait on a 1/4 or 1/8 ounce jig head or on a 1/8 ounce weighted weedless hook. The best colors to use are rootbeer gold and pearl white."

Just as good as the gulp shrimp,September 23, 2007
By JoJofrom Ga
"My 11 yo had a bag of these in new penny color(all the store had left),I had 3 inch gulp shrimp. He kept up with me with the jerk shad .I did not think he would catch any with the jerk shad but before we called it a day he had released about 20 keeper trout and kept his limit of trout, and black sea bass.I say it is as good as the Gulp shrimp .the only problem is the tails get swiped off realy fast"

Great,December 14, 2006
By jbramm
"i have used many saltwater lures but the Gulp jerk bait is on of the best saltwater lures i have used. Many Redfish, lots of trout and others like lady fish flounder and jacks. best of all is that they are tough lures they stay intact for many strikes and bites and even if an inch on the back is gone they still work.great lures!"

Lifetime fisherman from CA,July 20, 2006
By fishing5from CA
"I have had great success with the sardine color. It can be flylined or used with a small weight and dragged next to kelp beds to produce solid strikes from a variety of bass and kelp rockfish. I use 10 to 15 lb. line and light tackle for the most fun action."
