Zoom® Soft Plastic Baits - Fluke

Zoom® Soft Plastic Baits - Fluke

There are plastic baits, and then there are Zoom baits. The difference is undeniable. Want proof? Just take a peek into your favorite tournament angler's tackle box, and start counting the Zoom bags. For those who lay it on the line every time out, there can be no other choice. Every Zoom soft plastic bait is wholly realistic, super-soft to the touch (for the extra action needed to pull that reluctant money fish) and salt-impregnated to hold even the most tentative bite. Length: 4". 10 pack.

"I either use this weightless in the shallow weeds for Largemouth, or weighted over deeper water for smallmouth. I caught a few that ignored tubes on the bottom but smashed this bait jerked over there heads. Great bait."

Disadvantages: Durability

"These have great action moving through the water and can see why fish can't resist them. Only problem I had was my two year old was able to just litely pinch the tail off. Probably why it has such great action and for only 2.15 can't get much better."

Fluke On Gamakatsu Finesse Wide Gap Hook
User submitted photo
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money

"This bait is awesome to use, very realistic looks like a wounded, dying fish. Bass just bust on this lure as you work it across the top. My partner needed to get into one of the compartments on his boat, I was standing on it so, I moved and stopped working the fluke while he got what he needed. By the time I got back to the fluke it had settled toward the bottom when I started reeling I had a fish on the line. Works shallow, works deep, this bait just catches fish! I don't use the standard hooks, I use the Gamakatsu finess wide gap hook and hook it through the nose. Its "almost" weedless and the hooksets are a breeze."

Great jerk bait!!, August 7, 2009
By TheGibson from South West MI

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design

"These are so fun to catch bass on. They move so life like that it triggers bass to bite. I usually use these over top water baits. If you hook them right they are weedless so you can throw them right up in the lily pads to find the big boys. They are fairly use to fish with, just don't set the hook to soon because you can usually see the bass strike."

Disadvantages: Difficult to use

"Best bait on the market!I love them.I use the smokin shad color in clear water and pink in dark or muddy water. Both of them work great. If you buy the 9 inch zoom super big fluke they work good for musky pike and walleye.

Jerk IT, May 25, 2009
By JBird09 from Georgia

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money

"up until I bought my first zoom trickworm i was not a believer in lures but that changed things, one of the other baits i picked up was the pearl while zoom fluke. looked online to see best ways to fish it. no luck in a local pond with it, but i snuck into another lake and fished on its backside there was only 1 spot i could fit my rod through the trees to cast into the water. spent nearly an hour with a crankbait and trickworm. so i walked to my truck grabbed one of these not expecting much, put it on my worm hook cast it 15yards out and 2 seconds after it hit the water my line lost all slack and i pulled in a small mouth. another time recently i was at lake jackson casting between the dock i was on and one about 20 yards away. i was twitching and jerking it. and i got a Strong bite but i pulled it out of the fishs mouth. few min later in the same spot i cast again. and BAM another strong hit. my spool was unwinding and i was fighting it. it got closer to the dock and my 8lb cajun line snapped like it was nothing. then my buddies had to come over and hog my side of the dock trying to steal my fish so i left and went somewhere else a few min later a friend finally pulled it in on a brokeback minnow and it was a nearly 8-9lb Channel Cat, we were all expecting a bass but were surely wrong. regardless. the fluke performs great and Looks REAL"

"this is the best lure ever made for the spring. I just went fishing and caught three four pounders and they just hammered this thing. I rig it with a carolina rig with no bullet weight and just twitch it through grass or on points. Silver is the best color."

If you're a pond fisherman, you can't go wrong with no. 45 with a red hook

AWSOME JERKBAIT, March 16, 2009
By BIGCATSLAYER from BLAINE,KY

"I HAVE BEEN USING THESE BAITS FOR ABOUT 8 YEARS NOW AND HAVE CAUGHT COUNTLESS NUMBERS OF BASS ON THESE. THEY ARE REALLY EFFECTIVE ON BASS IN PONDS BUT WORK EQUALLY WELL IN LAKES. MY FAVORITE COLORS ARE 45 AND 99. I HAVE CAUGHT MOST OF MY FISH ON COLOR 99."

Phenominal!!!, February 4, 2009
By FIGJAM from Middle TN

"I had heard friends using jerkbaits before and had used hard jerkbaits with a little success. I saw these and had to give them a try. Well I went to KY lake and tried them out on a Zulu rig in colors 65, 91, 99. Awesome outing is all I can say. In the two days I fished there I had over 50 bass each day. Phenominal!!!"

awesome!, January 29, 2009
By fishcrazy from Owasso, OK

"these are my go to baits when the bite is tough... i always end up getting bit when i put one of these on the end of my line! i hook them up weightless with a worm hook and it has a very erratic action... this can mimic a dying minnow perfectly! the smokey shad and baby bass are the best colors for me! try them!"

Super jerk bait, December 27, 2008
By CHUCKSTER from ABITA SPRINGS, LA.

"The action and the SMOKIN' SHAD color are too much for bass to resist when the jerkbait bite is on. I rig them with Jewell Bait Hyper Hook, 38-426-692-24 RED 4/0
1/8 OZ.

work great, November 3, 2008
By Toben from wisconsin

"The two lakes that i fish regularly, i will use a weedless jig (and bounce it off the bottom with a little jerking motion) and fish in 7-10 feet of water. I have always caught a large mouth when nothing else has worked for the day. I even have my wife impressed with the Zoom, not an easy task, she loves fishing them."

Great Softbait!, July 27, 2008
By bogbass from Massachusetts

"Just hook em' up, wing it out there, and slowly twitch it in. Very easy to use and is pretty tough. I caught a 3lber and didnt need to change baits. I like the albino for root beer colored water because its easy to see. Great for big and small bass."

Strongly recommend, July 26, 2008
By Klintrock from Naperville

"I have used other twitch or jerk baits with success because they attract fish, but hook sets are always a question. These are very good because they resemble minnows very accurately, thread a hook well either texas style or drop shot, and hook set is very reliable because of the solid thin body construction. I you have a lake with clear water and use the green color with no weight and 8lb mono you can mimic an injured bait fish very realistically. If you have those little white shad in your lake, use the white color, or if the its after the bass spawn you can use the baby bass colors and really catch a lot of fish. I rig texas with no weight and let it sink, twitch and something always slams it. Not just good for bass, crappie love them too. I always keep three colors for when things get hard, nothing else is working, or clear water, and it has not failed me."
