Very nice easy to use,March 14, 2008
By geepfrom Mohave Valley, AZ
"I own a RX III, I have owned other brands. The optics are very clear. One thing I was looking for in a range finder was, how easy and fast you can look through the optics and pick up the target or object you are ranging. Some times you do not have much time to range the game you are pursuing. So the quicker you can find the target, the faster you can range it. Setup can be confusing, but once you get familiar with the RX series the easier it gets. It is also great for low light use. I would recommend the Leupold RX III series to be a top priority in the selection of a range finder."

Rx-III Range Finder,January 19, 2008
By RamBobfrom Memphis Tn.
"I have seen over 20 reviews of this product both good and bad. Over all they are both correct. It is hard to learn all the functions but once you get it down, not much is required to get a good range. I tried it late in the day to see how it works. If you are not ranging greater than 300 yrds, not a problem. Still in perfect conditions, I still can't get a reading greater than 400 yrds, even on the side of a house. You need to rest it on something to get any good range past 300 rds. Over all, it does a great job for what I needed and look forward to using it next year after a full year of practice."

"This is an excellent rangefinder, the Leupold quality is superb. I have used mine for a year now and it works great. The only thing I would change if I could is the setting mode its takes a lot of pratice to get it quick."

Leupold RX-III Rangefinder,November 9, 2006
By ChrisJfrom Oklahoma
"This is my first ever rangefinder. I looked at several before finally deciding on the RX-III, and I am quite pleased with it. The 8 power optics are crisp and clear and eliminate the need for binoculars in areas that are wooded or have dense ground cover. I find it highly accurate and a very useful tool when ranging from the ground or from a tree, and it has helped me improve my accuracy with my bow and has helped me in learning to judge distances on my own for critical moments. I have not gotten to use the TBR on rifle mode yet, but am looking forward to it. It takes a little time to learn the settings and it doesn't take readings in very low light conditions, i.e. daybreak and last light. Also, it does not range out to 1000 yards when it is in archery mode, but whats the point? These minor things aside, I have to say that I am very happy with this product."

Leupold rangefinder,October 31, 2006
By BarryNfrom Ft. Lauderdale , FL - I hunt in other States
"My son and I bought this and the RX lV range finders for our hunt this year. We found the optics to be of good quality, but we had some issues.. In the early morning and late evening it was difficult to see/range an animal. We were also hunting out of a blind and could not range through the netting. For you "older" hunters, there are many "options" on these range finders and it can become confusing."
