Think it Won't Happen to You?,May 27, 2008

"Like a lot of fishermen, I never plan on falling out of a boat, especially if I am fishing and only using my trolling motor! Long story short, I was standing, trolling motor on, fishing a stand of trees, when I went to change foot positions, yep, you guessed it, I hit an underwater stump and went in 55 degree water over 20' deep. I did not have my pfd on because of the bulk and the reliability of my "catlike" reflexes to prevent this from happening. I recovered, loaded up my boat, went to BP and bought the XPS auto inflate vest. I will never fish alone again without wearing my XPS vest. It is light weight, comfortable, and I have more confidence in it than my "catlike" reflexes."

"I have always used a standard vest and finally wanted to try one of these out. I got it the last time they were on sale and what a great purchase. I tournament fish and you have to have the vest on when you're on plane, but when I get to my spot I usually go awhile with it still on because I can't feel it. I feel alot better also knowing if something does happen this will put me face up if I can't. And the greatest plus is its made by Mustang but for Basspro."

"I wouldnt be on the water with out one. I bought a few when they were on sale and have loved them since.They are light weight and dont get in the way. The auto inflat works awesome. I wanted to test one out to see if it really work and boy did it.It says keep away from wet, damp places and be careful leting water hit or it will inflat. I have had mine around all that and it hasnt. It needs to be fully submerged. If it inflats put a new co2 bottle in and fold it up like new.Dont be on the lake with out one!!!"

"Always had a life jacket in the boat while fishing but rarely had it on. This vest is on whenever I step on the boat. It's well made, and very comfortable. When comparing it to other vests on the market, you will not find another Type II auto inflatable vest for this price."

"This vest appears to be identical to the Mustang I also own but at a lower price. It seems as though the majority of vests in this price range are Class III or more. If I hit the water while doing 70 mph, I'll be too busy praying to be thinking of inflating my vest and turning myself over while unconscious."

"I was skeptical when I first purchased this vest and since my life depended on it, I wanted to know if it really worked. I put it on and jumped off the dock and it worked like a champ. I was so impressed that I went back the next week and bought one for my fishing buddy. It is so easy to wear that you hardly know you have it on. We are never in the boat without our vests"
