"I have this rod in the 7' medium power with an abu garcia revo stx 7.1:1 on it. i bass fish in guntersville and there is not a better stup for taking big bass. i use it primarily for spinnerbaits."

"I have variety of crankbait rods running a baitcaster on it and this is outstanding. I really like how throws a half ounce, it loads wonderfully and tosses a mile with no effort. I am supremely confident in how it also allows accuracy. The construction is built such that is has great reinforcement down towards the grip so man handling big bass is very easy. Recommend it over many others at twice the price. I have also had to lift out big bass that I was afraid would break it and it held with no issues. I broke another St Croix spinning rod and their customer service is also fabulous."

"Just over a year ago, I purchased a St. Croix Premier 7’ PC70MHM rod; liked it so much, bought another for spinning (PS70MLF). I’ve found these quality rods to have great backbone, very good sensitivity for the money, and plan to buy another soon.
Aside from bassin’, I've gotten hung up in brush and had more than a couple bad casts to timber (which unfortunately, weren’t the kind that hold fish)— either pulling free or snapping line, these rods have been tried and remained true. For added piece of mind, each came with a five-year warranty (less the cost of shipping to factory), should I ever find my one-piece rod in two."

"Croix are the best rods Ive owned in 25+yrs of fishing. My favorite is the Premier 7ft heavy power/moderate action which excels at almost every technique of bassin; spinnerbaits,crankbaits,plastics,flipping & pitching cover...but my favorite has to be froggin on top of vegetation with it.
