4 Pound Beaver Bug Bass
Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"A friend had recently turned me on to Beaver baits. So, I decided to browse BPS to see what they offered. When I saw the Beaver Bug, I got very excited because I am a big fan of tube baits and these seemed like a great combination of tube and beav. First time on the water with these, the bite was very tough. All the usual suspects weren't doing the job at all. I decided to try one of my new Beaver Bugs in Black/Red Flake T-rigged with a 1/8 oz. Gambler screw-in bullet weight. First cast, I get a solid pick-up. But, when I reared back for the big hookset, all I got was air ... sending me sprawling onto my butt! When I stopped laughing, I made another "dinnertime" cast. Again, I got a solid pick-up, reared back and swung for the fences ... BAM! I was treated to a great tussle from a nearly four pound beast (pictured). These baits are great for tough bites or highly pressured lakes where crawdads are one of the main forages. You can bet that the fish you're after haven't seen many, if any, of these.

Pitch it of Flip it,December 30, 2008
By FIGJAMfrom Middle TN
"This is one awesome creature bait. I used this past summer and fall flipping it and pitching it into some timber and stump fields and killed the competition in the tournament. It was a nice payday that day. You can usually find a color that works good on your lake. The scent on these are great too."

Good fish producer,March 13, 2008
By stomp6767from Shreveport, La.
"I tried this lure as an alternative to other, more expensive Beaver lures. I liked that the lure had a skirt rather than a tail, thinking that would create more action. The Beaver Bug has produced for me and is one of my favorite soft plastics to fish. I use a 3/0 hook and 1/8 oz. weight most of the time, but am not beyond fishing it weightless or heavier (in thick grass). This lure is also a change from fishing a tube. One of Bass Pro's better products (notice where it's made)!!!"

Beaver Bugs Bring Them In,January 2, 2008
By ICatchAnythingfrom Altoona, PA
"These BPS creature baits are excellent. I've caught a fair share of bass with these. They also hold up bite after bite as opposed to some other brands out there. Pick a color they all work great."

beaver bug bonanza,February 1, 2007
By kickinbassfrom woodbury heights,NJ
"Since my first cast with this bait I knew it was special. I knew I would be the only one on the lake using it-because it was new. Black with blue tail is how I roll. Little or no weight and instant action.I out fished my partner every trip. Whether from boat or shore I catch fish with this bait. Quality fish too!Gary YamaWHO?replace your creature bait with this bait and you are bound to here your drag scream!"

proven bass catchers,July 10, 2006
By BASSkickerfrom SAN JOSE, CA
"i love these lures. they work in any condition. i love to fish these lures around structure especially rock piles, they attract big bass. they are a combination between a creature type bait and a tube. they seem to work best with a bullet weight and rigged weedless. work them slowly and be prepared for that bite. these lures and heavily impregnated with salt and fish hold on alot longer. the only thing that bothers me is that they dont come in more colors, hopefully in time basspro will put out more colors. the ones that seem to work best for me are the pumpkin and junebug. try them out and enjoy!!"
