Good for Freshwater Only, July 18, 2009
By OutcastIV from North Carolina

"I purchased this culling beam at the beginning of this fishing season. The clips or pins that hold the fish have already rusted through. This is a great product I just wish they had used Stainless Steel hardware. I would not recommend to those who fish Saltwater."

"I have had several beams prior to purchasing this one and let me tell you... this one works perfect, the holes are in the exact right spots and in several cases I have been lucky to have this item. Buy it if you are a tournament fisherman/woman"

Never leave home without it!, October 19, 2008
By BassninMN from MN

"I recieved the beam for a gift. I had never purchased one because I had a digital scale and I figured it was good enough. I was amazed when I took a 1/16oz jig and a 1/8oz jig and put them on either side, and the beam tilted with no question to the heavy side, a 1/8oz difference! I did not think it was that accurate or even that definite. I will be using this now instead of my scale for tounements."

Time is Money, August 10, 2008
By YumaBassManBob from Yuma, Arizona

"I have to say this is a good balance beam for the money. I have one, but misplaced it a while back. In frustration I decided to make one. Actually I made three. One to keep in each boat, and one to put in my travel bag. After discovering what it takes to make the snap hooks out of heavy spring wire, create a free swinging handle, and properly balance the beam I can say, that this product is well worth the money... and it works. You can quickly and easily tell which of two fish is heavier, cull the small one and get back to fishing. I have watched three places in a tournament recently seperated by 1/10th of a pound. In a Yuma Bassmasters club tournament this year 2nd, 3rd, & 4th had 19.47, 19,44, & 19.37 pounds respectively. I will bet knowing which fish was heavier played a part in that finish."
