Awesome sock!, October 23, 2009

Advantages: Design, Durability, Features, High Quality, Value for money

"I have a 30ft Pontoon boat that I drift fish for catfish with. It takes two socks (I have bought the original series 60'' sock which is made from a lighter material.

I would recommend this one over the original series, it seems to create more drag even though it is 6" smaller (utilizes a heavier material)

Deploying both socks keep me at around 0.7 mph in 10-15 mph winds (My pontoon is covered and is a double decker so it catches a lot of wind)

This more durable drift sock lets you really put on the breaks but if you want to be able to control your direction a little better pick up a second smaller sock such as the more expensive but lighter original series, so you can quickly change the heading of your boat while this fisherman series keeps you slow.

I also love that this one comes with line to pull it in, the orignal series does not so you need 9-11ft of rope to make your own "pull-in" line.
