When they run true they are awesome

,

Advantages: Style/Design
Disadvantages: Performance, Durability
"I have the sunfish versions. I have only seen a few reviews where this happens but honestly, aren't more people having this issue?
They don't run straight. My first package 2/3 kept running on their sides and I had to really work hard at swimming them true.
Second package 1/3 had the same issue.
They also hang very easily.
Now with that being said, the colors and looks, combined with the action (IF!) they are running true has landed me several lunker Smallies."

"Went fishing today with brother and a friend. Caught four bass with this lure. They used all they had and caught nothing. Great lure in a pinch and for the money. But one draw back, it hangs easily."

"Got out two days ago to try this swimbait out. Very natural looking and acting. Caught several small bass and a couple of real chunker bluegills with it. Missed several other hits. Looks like a keeper so far. Very good value also."

Not without it's issues

,
February 25, 2012
By capnchris
from Woodstock, Ga
Advantages: realistic appearance / action
Disadvantages: Durability
"It has a good action in the water. looks very realistic.
the tail is the failing issue. it frequently hangs in one of the hooks on cast and ruins the retrieve, which in turn spins around and twists the line. the tail joint is also very weak, often i will retrieve the lure to find the tail is missing."

Sunfish swimbait

,
January 8, 2012
By TorgueConverter
from Iowa
Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design, Value for money
Disadvantages: Performance
"I have not caught a fish on this bait. The action is GOOD and the option of two different hooks on the bait is also GOOD. It's a swimbait and as such is not going to elicit a reaction strike the same way a crankbait will. This is something you throw for bedding bass and not something you "crank the weedlines"with mid summer."

"I've caught Northern Pike and Trout off of this. I'm not in an area where I can fish for bass so I can't speak for that. This lure is well worth it and is about as life like as it gets. I use both sizes and really enjoy this lure."

One GREAT Crappie Bait!!!!

,
March 30, 2011
By Nathan70582
from St. Martinville, LA
Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design, Performs well, Value for money, Quality, life like, correct colors
"I used this bait along a river, and in the Swamp in Soutern Louisiana. I through it close to the shore line or up under Large Cypress Trees and reeled it into deep water. It is big enough that only large Sac-a-la (Crappie) will hit it. The Sac-a-la just can not resist it, because it is a so REAL LOOKING bait they just gotta hit it. I caught 4 on the first 4 casts.
Its so good I went back and purchased 6 more to keep in my tackle box, in case I loose some to underwater logs.
This is a must for every fisherman's Tackle Box."

Disadvantages: tails are easily eaten
"My friend and I were looking through the bait shop and i told him look for realistic stuff presentation is everything and he finds this and buys it. I was skeptical of course. We used over the weekend and he reeled in bass after bass with it now Im a believer. I recomend the smaller of the 2 sizea and all you do is cast and reel nothing fancy."

Advantages: Performs well
"I have a condo on a Golf Course in Panama City Beach with several lakes. I got in late one night and grabbed my rod which had the Storm’s WildEye Live Sunfish tied on and caught this bass on the very first cast. The next day I was catching them about every third cast. Great lure for the money."

Super Swim Bait

,

By Bones63
from Topeka, Kansas
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Value for money
Disadvantages: Durability
"The 17 acre pond that I fish in around my home area loves this little swim bait. I catch large mouth, white bass and crappie. This little 2 inch size is my go to bait when nothing else is working that particular day. In fact today I caught 2 lb. white bass in the 17 acre pond and a 2 lb. large mouth bass in a 1 acre pond. Just a fun day all around. I will be buying more of these little fellows. They are great."

good deal for the price

,
June 2, 2010
By DGitts
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Value for money
Disadvantages: Durability
"I have only used this bait twice, but it has caught a decent amount of bass on it so far. I have been using it in a pond that also has a small crappie population so I figured it would resemble a natural food choice. I actually even caught the first crappie of my life... A 13 incher, which I have been told is huge for oregon. The only drawback is that the tail gets bitten off easily on fish that don't hook up primarily. However, they are ess than $2 each since they come in packs of three so I'd say they are worth the price."

Greatest bait i've ever used!!

,
May 6, 2010
By Bassfisher93
Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design, Performs well, Value for money, Quality
Disadvantages: durability on tail
"this bait is amazing i went fishing with it this afternoon after buying it and i destroyed the fish. I didn't catch one under 3 pounds, and i caught about 10 fish. My very first cast, it hit the water and i had a huge 7 on. unfortunately he threw it twice, but it was fun fighting him. The only disadvantage is that the tail broke off after about 3 fish. Storm has to fix that. But, other than that this bait was a masterpiece"

One of the best swimbaits out there

By Lunkerstriker

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Value for money
"I have used this bait on numerous occasions to catch both large mouth bass and crappie. I must say i was surprised at the effectiveness, on my first two cast i caught two 1lb+ crappie and they inhaled it. Very durable, the only issue i've had with durability is the eyes when they get gulped up by hungry fish. That was only on one lure out of a 3 pack, the other two i have been using for two months with no durability issues and plenty of fish caught on them."

"My girlfriend was using the Storm minnow and caught 3 crappie on three casts after going all day without even a bite so I decided to give these a try and man did I burn the fish up. Caught more fish in the last few minutes of the day using these things then I did all day.
I use the Sunfish ones though, but I'm sure it doesn't matter. If you want to catch fish then I HIGHLY recommend you get some of these. I would definitely buy these again and from now on will not go fishing without them.
Use them in a boat as I got hung up a lot when I was using it from the bank."
