"I read all the reviews on here for the different cap lights before purchasing this one. I wanted quality light, something solid in design, and something with a solid & firm structure/mounting surface. If you are looking for the same, then look no further. This is the best portable cap light for the money that you will find here or at any of BassPro’s competitors.
**Pros**
1. Solid design/firm mounting clips
2. Very Bright lighting! (I own the white LED version)
3. Compact size
4. Curved structure for men who “curve” the bill of their caps.

**Cons**
1. Strobe light mode. This feature is useless and annoying. Who is going to actually use the strobe light mode? Each time you turn on the unit it switches modes - from “strobe” to “on” each time you turn it off and back on again.

"This little light is the bombshidiggitty!! It lhas tons of uses. It is great on the boat, tying on lures, simple navigation (finding the correct distance away from shore), unhooking fish, using in rooms with poor lighting, around the campsite, walking back and forth to tree stands, or hooking up equipment in dark places just to name a few."

"This is a great light. I picked one up for my kayak night-fishing expeditions. It is LIGHT and small. It fits easily in the chest pocket on my shirt. When its on, it has about a 30 degree arc that is bathed in brilliant, focused black light. My flourescent line glows like neon all the way out tot he water. I can EASILY detect strikes or the slightest movement in my line.
For $15.00 you can't go wrong at all. If you are looking for a persoanl UV fishing light, look no further than this unit to satisfy all of your needs. Buy an extra pack of batteries while you're at it."

"I use this light often while night fishing Ozarks rivers and streams wothout any troubles. The green light is great for tying on flies in the dark, it can be turned on and off without spooking the fish or causing "night blindness". The flash mode is great for calling your buddies to the "hot spot" without having to yell and interupt a nice quiet night on the water."

"I like this light for general lighting, but for task lighting it is just ok. I have to pull my hat bill down much lower than I normally wear it to direct the light into my comfort range for working, knot tying, etc.
I realize that this is not a problem with the light, but I'm just pointing this out because I have heard the same things from other people I know who also use this light. Everyone does seem to love this light for general lighting around camp or while trail walking at night though."

"Nearly a month ago i purchased a blue/flourescent caplight. this caplight has held up for me all through the wintery chill. this light shows all of my flourescent line even 30 foot out in the water. this light is awesome for night fishing, which i used not to be able to see any thing but feel. Buy this product well worth the money!!!"

"This is a great product. They come in Red, White, or Green. The batteries that come with the light last a long time and I don't have to take them out when not in use. Need more light, there is room on your cap for 2 of these."

"I find this to be a very a good product when the weather is warm and all you need is a baseball cap. I would give it a five star rating, but I had to buy another light for cold weather fishing. If you want only one tool for the job, buy a light that is not dependant upon the brim of a cap."

"I bought this cap light (in green) a few months ago and just tried it out this weekend. I works great and really provides great illumination. In response to the review by DoubleL, my light didn't work either at first. I turned the batteries over and it works like a charm. The instructions as to the correct orientation of the batteries is not all that clear."

"I ordered my first cap light on 1/7/07 along with some extra batteries. When I went to turn it on, it didn't light-up. I replaced the batteries and still no light. I sent it back for a replacement. The replacement doesn't work either. I am in the dark about what to do next."

"I bought the blue light for fluorescent line glow. It works great. It is very light and fits a cap very well. I don't really have a use for the strobe feature. It would be nice to have more of a flood pattern beam rather than a focused beam that is not adjustable. The further out you aim, the wider the "focused beam" is. You do get some periferal light which helps when night fishing. Great tool."

"i fish several night bass tournaments a year and when i saw this light, i knew it would work perfectly for unscrambling 'professional override', retying lures, bump-boarding fish, landing fish, etc., etc......... But i have had it for 3 - 4 weeks , now, and have found a ton of uses for it. Uses like repairing an electrical outlet at home in an area that doesn't have a lot of light, picking up after the dogs when i walk them for the last time each evening, etc. in short, its great anytime you don't have enough hands to hold a flashlight and work on something at the same time. the strap-on ones are ok but i find the clip-on to the brim of a baseball-style cap works much better. and,i've gotten a lot of comments from younger people, on how cool it is"

"This light is great it goes where your eyes go, great for night fishing or for getting safely in and out of the blind. Ultra bright, long lasting battery, weight is not enough to even be a factor, and is so compact that you don't really even notice it on the bill of you cap. Only down side is that the strope feature has proved more annoying than useful. Otherwise, grade A product, must have for that next night trip."

"I bought 2 of these..one red and one white. The red one I use for night fishing as the red won't hurt your night vision. The white one I keep in my tool box and use in place of a flash light or a drop light. Additionally the red light does not attract nearly as many bugs when out fishing!"

"This is a great light. It's not bulky at all and you hardly know you have it on. Very durable. The light is very bright which makes night fishing a breeze. The only thing I don't like is there is no separate switch for the strobe. You have to cycle through them (regular light, off, strobe, off...) but that's very minor. Great product!"
