"I've been using a b/w transducer for both fornt and driving locations, I purchased the 383c a couple months ago, which I mounted at the drivers location, after 4 times out using it. What a improvement, I found myself turning the 383c around so I could see it from the front trolling motor position as well, I hardly used my front b/w this last week-end. I really like this colored 383c it makes everything so much easier to read and understand. The screen is on the small side, however I didn't find that too hard to see even from 6'-8' away from where it's mounted now. I think I'm going to replace the front b/w tansducer with a color Humminbird side scan unit shortly. Great little unit..."

"I purchased a Humminbird 383 GPS Fish Finder from my local Bass Pro. It has a great picture and lots of views on the GPS. Installation was fairly easy as is the operation. My only complaint is that in less than 60 days, the plastic pivot points for the Tilt broke into many pieces. I notified BPS and thet told me I had to call Humminbird for replacement parts."

"I installed the 383c on my 20 ft. Trophy with ease and I am verry happy with this product. The gps is easy to use and verry accurate and clear. The screen updates are fast both on the gps and fishfinder. This unit has most features you would find on larger units. The zoom in feature makes up for the small screen. The 383c is a great entry level combination unit."
