"I bought this frog thinking that i was probably paying for how "neat" it looked but it performs as good as it looks. Ive caught my biggest topwater bass of of the spro frogs. It is awesome for throwing on top of floating vegetation. As far as the hookset... it is perfectly fine. It is as good as any other weedless topwater lure. Its easy to get excited and set the hook as soon as you see the explosion but it works a little better if you wait a second or two to set it... Give yourself enough time to clear you throat before you go for the hookset. Get the Bronzeye Popper. It works just as good, walks great"

"This frog is great. the best frog ever. anybody that says the hooksets arent the greatest dont know what there doing. if you cast out there and you get a explosian stop and wait. if the fish wants the frog you will feel a pull and see your line moving then set the hook and get your prize. the best colors are black and natural green."

"I got this frog because the pond i fish is loaded with bass and their main forage is bluegills and frogs. I got the Midnight Walker color and got tons of strikes but i could not set the hook whatsoever. I lost an absolutely huge fish for Michigan standards instead of having 5 bass over 3 1/2 pounds this year i only have 4. I will never trust Dean Rojas' word."

"If you are wanting to buy this product but think you should try a cheaper frog you should just go ahead and buy this. No other frog ive used compares to this. It has a much better action, rarely lands upside down, has more realistic colors, doesnt fill up with water, and has a much better hookup ratio. Most poeple use there frogs on a stiff rod but i use mine on a soft tip rod and 30lb braid and still get good hookups. This lure appeals to more than bass. I had a snake follow it in once and ive a moster frogs chase after it. This is the best frog made except maybe the tungsten mad maxx but i havnt used it yet. I also cant wait to try the bronzeye popper."

"I fish Guntersville 3 days a week. I had a lot of good luck with these frogs but lately something has changed. Every cast now I have to squeeze all the water out of the frogs. I can't get these frogs in after 1 cast before they fill up with water. I've tried silicone on the bottom hole but you loose hook set because the frog wont collapse. For $8 better frogs are available."

"I am 15, and I have caught many many fish on this lure. I use the neon glow mostly, and I recently bought the harbor seal and popper in leopard. I can throw 10-15 ft. back in lily pads and pull fish out with no problem. I caught a 10 pounder and many 5-6 pounders. I wouldn't change a thing about these. They're great."

"this is the BEST frog lure EVER!!! anywhere there is slop u just through it over that an.....BAM!!!!! toss it on the sides of reeds, over fallen trees, on top of the tullies, an even in open water. if u plan on fishing during the day, stick with the natural red. an if u go out at night, strait black works the best. when u get hit, count to 3 an then set the hook. the best setup 2 use is a Mojo Bass stick..7"6' is the best length..an get a high speed reel like the Quantum Tour (Burner) an spool it up with 65lb braided line 4 best results. "I'm not a huge frog fisherman though I do throw them in the evenings and mornings and get a fair amount of action on them. I picked up a spro frog to see what all they hype was about. I do like the action on the Spro frogs over say a scumfrog and I do catch my share of fish on them. Like most frogs its hard to actually hook the fish with these guys. I like most people trim the legs by an 1" or so. I also like to bend out the hooks just a bit on the frog to promote my hook ups. When the fish hits I don't set the hook immediately and wait till I feel the fish on the end of the line."
