"I purchased these boots a month or two ago. I was questionign the price but when i finally bought a pair, i quickly realized that they are worth the money. My feet stay comfortable and i feel wonderful walking in the woods. Another key feature is the ease of not having to worry abou trattlesnakes as much. I have walked across a creek so i can get to my stand(the creek is about 14 inches deep) and i had no problem staying dry with these things. I love the camo pattern because it is so detailed. The only DOWNFALL of this product is that if you try to wear these in winter or cold weather, your feet may get cold. I wore my pair last Saturday in 21 degree weather and my feet were freezing. All in all these boots are amazing for archery seasons."

"I bought a pair of these for my son last year and he loved them. So when it came time to replace my own worn-out boots I went ahead and got a pair for myself. Quite comfortable, and the zipper is a great feature. We've had to walk through water nearly a foot deep several times due to all of the rain we've gotten this season, and not once have our feet gotten the least bit wet."

"After reading all of the reveiws on this boot I was convinced that it was not the boot for me. After going to BPS to find they didnt have my size in the Danner boot and bow season opening in just a few days I didnt have a choice but to try them. I recently joined a hunting lease in Ark. and knew my bow stand selection would be flooded if we got alot of rain but the signs where good and I went with my instincts. Several days before opening day and it starts raining and it really hasnt stopped since. I hunted Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning, waded through water everday for extended periods of time, sometimes standing in water for 10 to 15 minutes before moving on. These boots never leaked one drop, I was very impressed and cannot understand how the same boot gets the negetive reveiws. For the money I dont know of any boot except a rubber one that could perform as good as these did for me."

"rocky says these boots are 100% waterproof and they are not even water resistant. your feet will get wet going through wet grass. in fla there are a lot of swamps and thats why i wanted water proof boots. a waste of money cause when you miles from your truck and go through some water all of a sudden the light boots weigh ten pounds."

"I have had these boots for about 6 months or so now and have worn them both hunting and camping. I took them to the beach with me once and they got wet from the water but my feet were completely dry afterwords. I have an extra sense of security with these on because there are quite a few snake around. Great for the money."

"These are the lightest boots I have ever worn and great looking too. They are half the weight of snake boots that I have worn in the past. My thinking was half of the spent energy used to walk the same distance. However that is where it ended for me. I can hardly see any wear on the Vibram soles, they leak or seep water, and the camo material around the sole is shredded. I spend about three days a week in these boots hiking through swamps, fields, and heavy woods. If you want a boot that just looks good these are the ones. If you want a boot that works these will not. I have never had a pair of boots I have worn the uppers out before the soles were slick and all in less than 1 year."

"I have had these boots for two years and while they did a fair job of keeping my feet dry for the most part, the zippers didn't hold up for very long. Overall the boot was comfortable and I probably could have treated the zippers with some kind of grease or lube to make them last longer. Call me old fashioned, but I just like things that last. Pretty good buy if you only plan to use for one or two seasons."

"I've worn these boots for a year winter, summer, spring and fall, and love the way they wear. I'm in the East Texas Piney Woods at least twice a month on average with my hunting, and fishing buddies, and my boots wear well with no insole problems, or ankle sores. With all the wear they still look new. One of my buddies was so impressed that with them he now owns a pair. After a year of wear they still look new. I haven't been bitten by a Copperhead, or rattler so I can't comment on snake bites. thankfully."

"Hey guys, I wore these boots new in Nebraska for a 10 days phesant and geese hunt, and they wore out right away, I think it was due by the snow abrassion, but on 10 days only ??? . Then I came back to Mexico and I used them but they are not waterproof anymore. They are do lightweight but not durable at all, maybe they wont be snake proof also because the fabric is very thin now, I'd suggest you something else."

"I bought these boots 2 years ago for a boar hunt in texas. They performed well with miles of walking each day through swamps and thickets. No leaks but I did spray them wth waterproofer before leaving just to make sure. Wore them all during spring turkey season while hunting around the river no complaints. But thats what you expect from Rockies."

"i bought these after spending 3 seasons in a leaky redhead brand snake boot deciding i would spend the extra money for dry feet. i have beat the bush in the thickest nastiest swampland of northwest florida for an entire 5 month season of deer and turkey with these and so far have no complaints. as for all the reviews about leaking. i have not had that problem. i have never gotten wet and have walked through alot of water. they are very comfortable out of the box. as said in other reviews buy a half to full size bigger cause they tend to be small. so far they are fairly durable but walking through the thick terrain that i do one of the seams seperated at the top but it was nothing that couldnt be fixed with shoe goo."

"I bought my first pair of these boots ,,Iloved them untill it rained,,soaking wet feet a ruined hunt.I took them back and exchanged them for another pair,,same boot same size,the fit in two different pairs of boots was not the same.the second pair was loose and ill fitting,I walked across a field of wet grass the last day of turkey season my feet were soaking wet again. "I have now worn these boots long enough to feel good about writing a review on them. They are extremely comfortable boots. The key for me was to loosen the laces around the ankle. When they were tied up tight, the ankle really bit in and was pretty painful. However, loosening the laces has worked wonderfully.
As I learned on a previous pair of Rocky boots, they tend to run just a tad small. I normally wear a size 9, but these boots in 9.5 fit me perfectly. Keep this in mind when you purchase.
As for waterproofing, the Gore-Tex appears to be doing its job quite well. Though we are in the middle of a drought in Georgia, I still managed to find a couple of pretty nice water holes to get in, and there have been no issues whatsoever with leaks.
Finally, as for the snake test, I can (thankfully) say that I have not been able to put them to the test. I did encounter one rattlesnake with them on, but then chickened out before I let him bite me. I will just take Rocky's word for it!! They do make me feel better about sneaking around in the woods, however."

"I don't know if I just got a defective pair or not. I wore them through the 2007 Ky turkey season, and the sole started separating from the boot. They leak water badly. This was the first time I have ever had a problem with rocky boots."

"I have only worn these a few times now but I am very happy and impressed. I walked several miles the first time I wore them. It took a lillte bit to break them in but it wasn't painful. I also tested the waterproof claim and they kept me dry as I scouted in a lot of flooded bottomland. I haven't had a snake strike yet but I feel very safe and wouldn't be afraid to be struck. Good product, especially after reading reviews of some of the other ones that are out there."
