"I was impressed with the finish and the heft of this very sturdy rod. I haven't fished it yet, but it is obvious that it will subdue just about anything I will ever catch from the pier."

"I bought two of these rods from a baitshop out by Oakland Mills Iowa back in 2006 and have had nothing but good things to say about them since. I use the bf-b701mhrs for snagging spoon bill out of the Mississippi river on pool 18 and they work fantastic. Boys, these sticks are the cats meow for towing out the big ones. Plenty of back bone,comfortable grips,and that rubber butt is great. All in all, best bang for the buck I've ever invested."

"i have this rod wit a cv6000 i leav this pole wit my grandpa and i cought a moster tarpon and i also pulled up a nice striper i love this rod and i say buy it u will love it."

"This rod has very strong guides. I have this rod teamed up with a Diawa Giant 100 with 50 lb. test line and it is a monster. I use this fishing at the jetty in Port A. It is very durable and a great value. I compare this rod to the Offshore Angler Sea Lion. Almost similar except for this one is $5 cheaper. A great value, must buy."
