amazing casting tool for a fantastic price, November 18, 2009
By WindCaster from Roswell, GA

Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money, high end performance at a 1/3 of the price, lifetime no-fault warranty
Disadvantages: a lttile heavier than other (more expensive) rods

"Purchased a 5wt 9' as an upgrade to my white river beginners kit. I was looking for a fast rod with long casting distances and a more direct feel than the medium weight white river I've been casting with all summer. I originally went with the TiCR but returned it after finding it numb and devoid of casting feedback. I then went with the TiCR X and have not looked back. Excellent performance and control with a communicative rod that makes beautiful, 60+ foot gentle, accurate presentations an everyday reality. What an amazing casting tool its turned out to be."

Wow!, January 14, 2008
By Flyfishguy from Rocky Mountains

"I own the 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10 weight in the X series and wouldn't have anything else as back up's for my high end equipment. They are awesome rods and will stand up to the toughest Saltwater, Freshwater or Anadromous species. Where ever I travel I know I have first class performance in my second best rods. I have used many rods in my day but these make a tough wind go away, they are not stiff on the hookup, they are so accurate you keep looking for the scope, and best of all they do the work for you. My recommendation to friends, students, and clients who are traveling to a Fly fishing destination is get yourself an X rod or two. Serious rods without the serious price tag. Unconditional lifetime guarantee as well."

TiCR X, July 27, 2007
By Montoman from Dallas

"I purchased the 7 wt rod primarily for heavy freshwater and light saltwater use. I found the 8 wt to be just too stiff yet the seven wt was just right with just enough spring in it without wearing one down. This rod easily tackles specs and reds and can accurately cast 70 ft or more if your technique allows. I still find it a little light for large clousers but for Crazy charlies it is perfect. BAss bugs are no problem. The color is great and the overall weight is not tiring. This is my only very fast action rod and I do better with a fast or moderate fast action but that is due to my experience not the quality of the rod. This rod is well worth the cost in compari.son to the high end rods of similar weight. You can have 2 or three of these in different weights to the price of just one of them. This is my challenge rod, the one that will teach me to be a great double hauler ( I hope). On a double haul the line flies through your hand"

most amazing rod, December 14, 2006
By Fitz from Edmonton, Alberta

"I have owned my 6 wt. TiCrX for two seasons now and have found it to be the best rod I have ever used. It is especially good when casting heavier rigs like big streamers and sink tip line. It casts like a bullet with power and great accuracy. I now keep my Sage as a back-up. There's just nothing that compares at any price and when you consider how reasonably priced this rod is, it's a no brainer."
