Better then live bait, February 20, 2007
By tinman from Cape Coral FL

"In a recent trip to the backwaters off Sanibel and Captiva Islands I had the oppurtunity to fish with my son-in-law. He was fishing a 3" Gulp Shrimp and I put on a 3" curly tail. Both were white in color. Within minutes of pulling onto a grass flat in about 3-5' of water with a incoming tide he started catching fish. What was amazing was the catch ratio with the gulp, which was about 3-4 fish to 1 on the curly tail. Sea Trout, Lady Fish, Spanish Makeral, and a occasional Squerial Fish was the mixed bag for the day.We thought this maybe just a one time occurance so over the next three outings that week we tried the same challange. We even tried a 4" shimp in a different color, and I fished the Gulp. The results where the same. Make sure when you are done with the Berkley Gulp shrimp to put it back into it's sealed bag to keep it smelling good!! I am totally sold on the Berkley Gulp shimp."

Gulp Shrimp Catches Catfish Too, December 18, 2006
By LouisianaFisherman from Baton Rouge, LA

"I was fishing in my friend's pond for catfish and was not catching anything. I had gulp shrimp in the new penny color in my tackle box. I had caught many specks and reds with these artificial shrimp and with their strong scent I figured they could catch catfish too. Well I didn't have to work them at all. I just let it sit on the bottom and caught 3 large catfish. I caught a 12lb, 11.5lb, and a 7lb catfish all on the gulp shrimp. These shrimp are amazing. I used them to outfish livebait in the gulf a couple months ago, and now i used them to outfish live bait in a pond. Whether you are fishing for specks and reds or freshwater catfish, this bait will not let you down."

"I got turned onto these last year while flounder fishing with live mud mionnows, when an friend ask if he could jig a gulp in front on me on a ledge not 3 ft. from my feet, I said sure, I have been drowning mud minnows there for over three hours with no luck. As soon as the gulp got down he caught a nice flounder then two more after that. Believe me they catch fish, twice since I started using them they have out caught live bait, so now all I fish with is GULP, I have hundreds of other plactics that never leave the house now. To the Guys that had bad luck with them,,, very simple the fish were not feeding,,, I have caught unknown numbers of nice Flounder this year with Reds and Specks mixed in, My choice of color is glow 3" shrimp, I don't leave home without at least 4 packs of them,I wish Berkley would put glow in a bucket"
