Rod is great but the guides rust, October 10, 2009
By cwgolden from Texas

Advantages: Performs well
Disadvantages: Durability

"I used this rod for 2 seasons fishing offshore in the gulf. Caught lots of snapper, kingfish, ling and small shark. I really liked the feel and design of the rod and it seemed perfect for snapper fishing paired with a Shimano Tekota 700. After the first season, the rod guides had started to corrode. By the end of the second season, the guides were getting really rusty and one of them fell apart. I do rinse my tackle at the end of every trip and atleast once each season the rod was wiped down with Penn cleaner/corrision inhibitor."

Excellent rod, September 9, 2007
By bass0113 from Ohio

"I purchased 2 of these rods to go mahi fishing in Marathon. They are great! Just enought give for a long battle. We caught all kinds of large grouper, 10-20 lbs dolphin as well as playing with the sharks when we were bored. I cant say enough about them. Foe the money these rods stand up against any of the more expensice rods on the market. The Reel seat sits low on the pole so it is not awkward to reel in fish. Great Product!! They look great as well. Very durable. I fly them from Ohio to Marathon 5-6 times a year."
