Good fishing line,November 16, 2009
By bigegan18from Clinchport, VA
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well Disadvantages: a bit stiff
"This line is good for any fishing situation. It casts smoothly and is very sensitive. The line is just a bit stiff. Sometimes the line does catch itself on a cast. You can stop this by lining your reel with mono for about the first 1/3 of the reel and then put fireline on your reel."

Strong Line,August 12, 2009
By BigBass759from New Bedford Ma
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality Disadvantages: bit stiff
"I have this line spooled on 1 baitcast for testing. The line is extremely sensitive as there is no stretch. The line is very strong and believe me the rod will break before anything else does. Casts well I have had no problems. Smoke color is not very visible at all. Only drawback as far as rating goes it is a little stiff and will catch on itself occassionally. Otherwise a very good line that can be used on a variety of applications. Very much recommended. Best knot to use is a palomar - can't go wrong with it. Been lookin for a good super line. I also have some crystal fire line which will be a separate review. Think I found it."

No issues with Fireline,August 11, 2009
By JEMCGfrom Florida
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Value for money, lasts a long time
"I've used this line for a long time, back when it first came out Hank Parker had the burned up commercials running. The product works fine if you understand Fireline is way unrated. The 10lb I use most of the time has a breaking point far in excess of that, we have tested it a 28lbs consistantly. That being said I've fished it from coast to coast in Mexico and Canada. It is my number one line on spinning tackle making small easy to cast light spinning reels able to handle huge fish. I fish this line in saltwater extensively with great success. In comparison to braided superlines this product handles better and is far less trouble for the angler. My regular rigging is the 10lb to a 15 or 20lb Fluorocarbon leader tied in with a four turn surgeons knot to a doubled Fireline. Lures are attached with a canoeman's loop. Nice set up deadly on almost anything that swims."

What happened,July 25, 2009
By Adam17from GA
Advantages: cast great Disadvantages: Durability, Performance
"I have used fireline for a VERY LONG time. I have just started noticing lately that its just not what it used to be. It is very sensitive which is great but it has started breaking with me on my hook sets. NO its not my knots either. I used 6 lbs on my spinning gear for a while I used to love this stuff so much I'd buy the big $100 spool. But I just have to change now because something has happened to this line. Maybe a bad spool I dunno but not willing to find out"
