"I bought this cot for my sons 9th bithday so when we go camping or if he sleeps downstairs. That was on Oct 3rd. I havent been able to get him to sleep in his own bed since. I weigh 235 pounds and at 6' 3" I was suprised in how comfortable it is,sturdy, easy to set up, and very wide. I recommend the cot over the air matresses for camping purposes. I believe if taken care of this cot will last a long time."

"We bought 2 standard size cots. Also used a Thermarest LUX CAMP LG 190621 pad that fit perfect. I am about 240 lbs. I did not feel like I was on a cot at all! The pad prevented my knees from feeling the side of the cot and was as comfortable as sleeping in a bed! It felt very sturdy."

"We just brought two of these home today (we're fortunate to have a Pro Bass Shop just 60 miles away, woohoo!) and set them up immediately. The first one was a learning experience, but it still only took me a few minutes; the second one I just popped together in no time.
Take-down was even easier and a nice touch is that the velcro straps that hold everything closed are permanently attached to the cot so they can't get lost; and then, as another reviewer points out, the cot actually fits back into the storage bag as easily as it came out. A hint for easier take-down and storage: pay attention to how the end bars are stored the first time you unpack the cot.
I was concerned about some comments about how difficult it was to stretch the material with the last end bar, but I found it to be a non-issue. I consider myself of average strength for a guy looking at the Big Six-O just aound the next corner and I still slipped the last bar in with really mimimal effort. The key appears to be sure that the fabric is centered on the frame (I learned that on cot #1).
It'll be a couple of weeks before we actually "field test" these cots, so I may have an update after that; but so far, so good."

"We needed an extra bed for a teenage relative, so we decided on this cot. Having gone through several air mattresses over the years, I did not want another "raft"--even if it did have a velour coating on one side.
This cot is extremely durable and has held up to repeated nights. It has withstood 260 lbs plus, and a person over 6 foot tall.
Durable construction- The nylon is thicker than you'd expect for a cot under $100. The aluminum frames are extremely well-made and do not bend under heavy load. As a caveat, our basement recently flooded, and because the cot is made of quality aluminum, it weathered the storm, so to speak.
Adjustable tightness. Because the ends are velcro (super industrial velcro), you are able to adjust the cot for a slight "bow", or tight enough to bounce a bowling ball. This also has the extra benefit of making the cot easier to assemble.
If you've ever frustrated yourself trying to assemble an old wooden and canvas army cot, you'll be quite pleased at this new and improved version.
I am purchasing another one for camping, and I am confident that these cots will last for many years to come."

"We bought two of the XL cots, and they are great! We set them up before we went camping just to make sure they would work properly. Setting them up was a breeze, it was a little hard to stretch the cot but nothing to difficult. I am 5'2'', 125 lbs. and there was PLENTY of room, very comfortable and sturdy! Best night of sleep I have ever gotten in a tent! I also love that you get travel bags, just like carrying a chair, except a little heavier."

"I just bought one of these cots a few days ago. I decided to assemble it before our camping trip next month. The fabric and overall construction does seem to be of very high quality. The plastic nipples on the ends which fit into the cross members broke when attempting to stretch the cross members into place. I now have to return it and get the next model up if it does not have the plastic nipples."

"These are great cots at a great price. I own three of them, and come from a family of very tall people. My brother is 6'8, to put it into perspective, and we need long cots. "I bought two of these cots for a recent camping trip. I was a little concerned they would be hard to set up because of the reviews I had read. They were actualy easy to set up and they were very comfortable. I was also very impressed by the fact you can break them down and they will fit back into the bag they came in; not something you see very often. For the money you won't be disappointed. "This is my second cot ever purchased, first from BPS, it is the king size model. It is excellent. I set it up at the house and it is stiff, but necessary to stay taught over it's life. I then went camping, set it up easily, and slept on it for 2 nights. I'm 6'3" and 220lbs and got a good night's sleep. It folds up nicely into the bag, unlike my other cot which folded half-way and was too bulky for packing in the vehicle. This cot is heavy, but it will last in my opinion. You can sit on it nicely too w/o worrying about it tipping over."

"I purchased two of the standard cots and returned them the same day. Yes, the fabric is tight and needs to be stretched, but while stretching it to fit the aluminum braces into the plastic nipples, both nipples broke! It was frustrating because I had a gut feeling it would happen. I'm glad I tried to assemble it at home first and not out in the field."

"Purchased the King Size Bass Pro Shop canvas cot ( 36X84X20 ) and will testify to the quality and durability of this product in comparison to other cots costing twice as much or more. I wieght in around 235 lbs and have not experienced any problems sleeping on this cot. As other users note, I too recommend that you set it up at home before taking to the field as the canvas needs to be stretched for easier assembly."

"Purchased this cot to use in my enclosed utility trailer for hunting whitetail in WV. I slept on this cot for 9 days, and I slept better than at home in my own bed (maybe I need to replace my bed). Having slept on several different cots over the past few years, this one is by far the best. The only downside is it's too long to fit across my trailer (an easy work around). I will recommend that anyone purchasing this cot set it up before going out into the field. The canvas is VERY tight and took me awhile to get it set. Since I was using it in a trailer I left it setup."
