"I was really hesitant to buy this stuff. I thought it was just another sales pitch. One more thing for the industry to get money out of us. But I used it this week and it did make a difference. It does what they say it does. My cast were farther, and it help with back lashing, but only a little bit."

"I read the reviews which were mostly positive so I bought it. I use mostly braided lines and I will say what a difference (in a positive way). Keep in mind this wont stop all backlash, but it will help the line come off the spool much easier, and if you do get a birds nest I found it easier to untangle with this product."

"I used Blakemore for years. I was told by BPS and a friend that this was a great product so I tried it. I use it on fluorocarbon and braid...and to clean rod guides. I have never noticed any residue that some speak of. It is pricey but I won't fish without it. Names don't impress me...a great product does...and this one does the job. It is pricey but you do get what you pay for."

"I have used all the different line conditioners that BPS and everyone else sells. KVD Line & Lure is by far the best performing product of them all and isn't oily like the others. Others here say it costs too much, well they all cost about the same but you use less line & Lure less often so in the long run it's cheaper. I fish fresh and saltwater and find that L&L keeps salt build up off my reels and rods, and has completely eliminated corrosion problems. All my line casts better and lasts a lot longer before I have to change it out. It works great on all type of line, but it really excels on taking the wiriness out of fluorocarbon. Try it and you’ll see!"

"This line conditioner works very well on my casting and spinning reels. My favorite use is on my braided lines. It makes the line much quieter and smooth. It does reduce twist in all mono and flouro lines I have tried, and increased my cast distance with some. It increased my distance with Power Pro braided line and 100% flouro lines the most. With good mono, there was not as much of a distance increase noticed. My wife loves it for her spinning reel also. If it was not so expensive, I would feel better about it and give it a 5. It costs too much for the small amount though. I use it when I spool by putting it on a cloth and then running my line through the saturated cloth as I reel it in. It seems to get good even coverage and lasts well after drying."

"I have never used any type of line conditioner in the past, so I thought I'd give this a try. Boy was I surprised. This product performs as advertised. During a recent tournament, with windy conditions, I was amazed that I didn't have any backlashes. I didn't notice a big difference in casting distance but I really didn't test it. I did love the fact that it helped with backlashes and it leaves no residue. I recommended it to tournament buddies and several of them liked it also. This is a really great product."

"This is more expensive than other products, but seems to be worth the price. If you change line often, I would apply after re-spooling and then give it time to spread and soak-in. Definitely cuts down on memory and helps for smooth casting. The only problem I had was with a reel I don't put new line on very often. After weeks of occasionally applying this product, the line started to bind with a powder residue. After one especially hot week, the line completely stuck together and the line had to be stripped off. If you fish often and re-spool often, a great product!"

"The only reason I give this a 4-star rating is because of the price. However, when you compare to other similar products is right in there.
This really tamed down my Trilene Sensation 17lb on my baitcaster. If I didn't give it a spray every 5 mintues I was pulling out the line pick!"

"I Use this for dressing my fluorocarbon lines. I use Trilene 100% and had some memory to contend with.
Tried this product and it did help quite a bit.
Do not notice any odor or residue.
Still plan on using this unless I can find something better.
I let mine thoroughly dry before using the line on the water.
Use it on mono to help reduce memory as well. Mono will usually relax when it gets wet.
Don't forget to hook your line onto something, back off 150 ft., and stretch that line. Then reel it back onto the spool."

"Like some of the rest of the reviews, if KVD uses it, it must be good. I've used it on Copolymer, Mono, Fluro, and Braided lines. Works great on both Spinning and Baitcaster reels. I find that I don't have to re-spool quite so often, so, in that respect, it will save you money on Line. It does help out with birdnesting and I do notice a difference with the distant I can cast."

"I was skeptical. Just an impulse buy 2 days ago and yesterday, on Lake Mead, I tried it. I used it on P Line fluorocarbon, P Line Fluoroclear hybrid, Yo Zuri Hybrid, and P Line Evolution - mostly 8# or 10#. I found the line on baitcasters and spinning outfits handling better. The effects were noticeable a few minutes after application. The baitcasters line spooled off smoothly on the cast and the line pickups on the spinning rods while dropshotting were handling smoother.. Less loops on spinning rods and maybe 20% more distance on a crankbait long cast."
