Advantages: Functional/Useful, Long lasting, Quality, Value for money
Disadvantages: will not give a smoke ring - so what!

"I own several cookers and smokers. Hands down the Orion is by far the best. It smokes and cooks the best most tasty foods in record time. There is No One who has eaten food out of the orion that has not enjoyed it. I would put my Ribs, Boston Butts, Turkey, Chicken, Up against anyone using cookers that cost much much more. Keep Smokin!!"

Ribs in 1:10 Soooo Easy!, February 16, 2009
By Seahunt from Maine

"Brought home 3 racks or ribs. Put Rib Rub on the outside. Placed the drip pan in the bottom. Lined the outside of the pan with mesquite chips. Put each rack on a hanger added charcoal, lit it and pulled out completed ribs 1 hour and 10 minutes later. Could not be any easier. Can't wait to try other meats. Just follow the directions and you'll do fine. No messy cleanup or oil to tend with. Much safer too. By the way, I did this at 35-40 degrees F and the time was still right on the money. YouTube also has some videos on this cooker.

Thanks!

My next try is a prime rib - no smoke. So far Turkey (awesome) - Pork butt, Pork Shoulder, and Leg of Lamb. All tasted good. Also use different wood for different tastes..."

Best ever turkey, December 18, 2007
By rev3 from Houston, TX

"I cooked a 21 & 1/2 lb turkey for Thanksgiving in 2 hours & 12 minutes! My family wants it no other way from now on. Ribs cook to perfection & I cooked two 7 lb. pork shoulders in 4 & 1/2 hours for pulled pork bbq! 8 of my friends have bought one upon my recommendation. Great quality product!"

Wow! Tender, juicy, September 7, 2007
By BKB

"3 big thick racks of pork spare ribs <1 hr 30 min. Tender, almost fall off the bone. 1 large brisket in 4 hours. Tender, cut up the slices on the plate with a fork. Looking forward to trying a turkey. Lets you choose to add smoke or just bake. Lite the charcoal and forget it. No tending the fire. Great for parties, you can entertain instead of fire watch. Very versatile, will be hard pressed to justify liting up my big 6 brisket 10+ hour smoker again when I can do three in 12 with 1/4 of the charcoal. The only complaint I have had is from a guy who likes to literally eat smoke. He likes to deep smoke his meat and the Orion's creations are not "smokey enough." I think it is just right."

Orion Cooker, July 1, 2007
By wethammer

"We smoked a 4.5 pound turkey breast in an hour and half, start to finish with letting the breast rest for 10 to 15 minutes after taking it out of the smoker. It was the juicest turkey we have ever smoked or baked in a traditional oven. The cooking time was less than traditional and the taste was out of this world. Looking forward to smoke some ribs in the Orion over the 4th...Best smoker I've ever used....."

Fantastic Cooker!, June 12, 2006
By MJ from Duluth, GA

"What a great product! I made ribs the other night and cooked a chicken in the cooker at the same time. Wow! Both were mouth-watering and delicious. My friend also bought The Orion and loves it. I can't wait to use it again."

Orion Cooker, April 10, 2006
By Boat Man from Conway, AR

"My wife and I were at the Myrtle Beach Bass Pro Shop during the week of April 3rd, 2006. There was a demonstration of the Orion cooker during that time. The ribs we tried were excellent. They were moist and some of the best I have ever eaten. This is a no brainer cooker. You put charcoal in the outer ring at the bottom and in the charcoal cup on the top and that's it. One hour and fifteen minutes later 6 racks of ribs were ready. I have a new smoker, but it won't see much use now."
