Fantastic Rod for multiple fishing styles,October 13, 2009
By reelman74from Fl....panhandle
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"To Get a rod like these 8' or 9' will cover both inshore and offshore needs. They are good and solid with backbone, yet can cast as far as your reel permits. Don't let the name "Cobia Rod" detour you. They were custom made to fill the need on the Gulf Coast when cobia run. They throw a jig forever, yet gentle for live bait. The backbone was specially made for setting the hook and hard(unless you use circle hooks). Then just reel. I've used mine for most saltwater fishing. Even in freshwater for catfish, stripers and other large fish. I can't say enough, best ever designed and good price. Good Fishing-"

Very Happy,May 28, 2008
By WayWardWind2from Pensacola, FL
"This is my second cobia rod the first one snapped in half at home thankfully, while I was trying to set the drag on my reel. It must have just been a bad blank or a fluke. Bass pro was more than happy to swap out the rod for a new one. I am happy to say that I am satisfied with this rod. It seems very stiff but allows you to cast a mile. Great job guys."

"I bought two of these (8' models) at the 2007 spring fever sale. I love the rods so much that I quit using the custom built rods I had. They are light but have great backbones. You can really drive the hook into the hard mouths of cobia. Also took these offshore with me several times and light-weighted some big red snappers and groupers. Did have any problems turning the groupers around. I did buy two more this 2008 spring fever sale. Nice job BPS!"
