Advantages: Durability, Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Value for money, accuracy, easy scope mounting
"This rifle is in my opinion the best on the market. I have retired my 243 for this for regular deer season. The durablilty accuracy (sighted in three shots) and range of actually taking a deer down at 156yds with no elevation and the ejection of the cap is the best. Using this rifle is like using a high end high caliber rifle without the price. Great rifle for anyone"

"I bought the gun for this years past muzzle loading dear season. This is my first muzzle loader I have ever purchased. So I fired 75 rounds threw the gun sighting in the scope and just target praticeing with the gun getting used to it. I was really impressed on how easy the gun was to load and the comfort I had in Holding it. Didn't kick bad at all. I will say that the more I shot rounds threw it the better it shot. I would recommend this gun to anyone. cleaning it was just as easy. A couple of my Hunting Friends talked me into Deer Hunitng a couple of years ago."

Great Purchase and Product,September 18, 2007

"This is the first Muzzleloader I buy and use let me just say It's a fantastic rifle! easy to use and clean I recommend getting everything with the rifle I almost skipped on the accessories, and cleaning products and was glad I bought everything together since where I live I would have to drive 150 miles back to the nearest sporting goods store that sells Muzzleloader products so I was able to enjoy my rifle when I got back home from Bass Pro in San Antonio, TX well anyways I'm using it with 100 gr of 50/50 Triple Seven Pellets and Hornady 250 gr SST Sabots backed by Remington Kleanbore primers and its just a sweet rife to shoot took my first Hog (130 lb) @ about 60 yds with open sights using the above load a hit dead center above the shoulder knocking the hog down on its tracks got up and shook off the dust ran about 15 yds and just fell on its side leaving behind a puddle of blood where he took the shot and a massive blood trail to where it fell over I bought this rifle as a dedicated hog gun and it has proven itself worthy on its first hunt cant wait till next weekend!"

A hunter's dream,July 27, 2006
By dmajfrom blue springs, mo
"Thinking about inline but have heard some horror stories from the distant past, this breaks all myths and fears. The elkhorn was purchased a a upgrade and wow. The best part is the ejector. In the past you had to pry out with a special tool, not anymore. All you require is a capping tool. It is very easy to clean, the action slides right out and you no longer have to take a bath with your rifle. The accuracy on this rifle is amazing! It does quite well with 100gr but can do magnum loads. I cannot wait to take it out this Deer season. With it shooting straight on a 100yds it will be my fault if I miss. Recommend to any hunter."

Review 8 for CVA® Elkhorn™ 209 Magnum Muzzleloader
"I bought this muzzleloader last month as a spare hunting rifle. Since I received it I have used it every weekend and put over 125 powerbelt 290 grain bullets throught it. I have not had a single problem with this gun.
I have two other rifles and this rifle for the price is the best deal out there.
It is very well made, easy to clean and prints 1 1/2 inch groups consistently at 100 yards with two triple seven pellets and 290 grain powerbelts.
I am thinking of using this rifle now as my primary hunting muzzleloader this season.
I recommend this rifle to anybody looking for a great bolt-action inline accurate rifle."
