"i have been playing paintball for about 19 years i have played with tippmann through most of they top guns the pro carbine, the 98 98 custom the a5 and the x7, but by far the A5 is tippmanns most reliable gun they have ever produced, I bought this gun when they First came out over about 7+ years ago ! i have never had ANY trouble with it this gun has lasted me through most of the top paintball fields and "battles" this gun has been in the worst mud i have ever seen it has been through rain snow even when swiming with it !!! UNDERWATER i did this at Oklahoma D-day a few years back hoping not to get shot by a enemy machine gunner planted behind a few logs but anywho this gun is the best gun you will ever have to buy infact today is the time where i buy a NEW Tippmann A5 to upgrade with new parts the old one well lets just say it is sitting in a place of honor in my gun cabinet"

"I have just returned from my local paint field and the ref let me use his since i didn't want to pay a rental for a 98 custom,through my experience with my old spider victor model,this is a decent bit,The weight of it was painful on the hands after a while,but the shot sounds were intimidating on the field,people were scared to play me (Even some high dollar players) I would HIGHLY suggest it,It shoots a decent amount of rounds,semi accurately,perfect fit in your shoulder,and was a fun little time."

"I am here to tell you before you buy this gun that it is not worth it. i have shot this gun which a friend of mine owns and there are major downfalls. ! a stock single trigger. very uncomfortable after 100+ shots. and to get a double trigger with fully auto you have to pay 100+$ more. not worth it. it uses alot of gas with the loader thingy and it can get expensive. its an all around loss. my suggestio would be to buy a spyder m series gun. the MR2 is more bang for the buck. comes standard with stock adn electronic trigger. 12 barrel and ACS system. semi auto, 3 rd. burst, and full auto are also standard. not to be an advertisement for spyder but just saying. take my advice. don't pay this much for a hyped up 98 custom."
