Excellent Target,August 24, 2006
By BBrockfrom Charlotte, NC
"I am a beginner as far as bow hunting goes. This is the first target I have purchased wand it has worked great. I purchased the smaller of the two and originally wished I would have gotten the bigger one but now that I practiced with the smaller target it is all that I ever needed. Layers are tighly packed and even shooting at 10 yards did not go through the target. My bow shoots close to 300 fps and my brother's shoots 300+ fps and not one arrow has passed through the target."

Great Target,October 18, 2009
By OKLAhunter
Advantages: Durability, Performs well, Quality, Value for money
"Great buy! Stops arrows very well and extreamly evenly throughout the target. Very durable, this first week of owning it I have put around 50+ shots into it with field points and you can barley tell, it holds up great! Arrows are easy to remove, it is light and travels well. I started bow hunting last year and was worried the 18" would be too small but it is perfect for 20-30 yards (havn't shot any further). I didn't want to spend the $80+ on a 18" name brand layered foam target and glad I didn't."

Great value,October 13, 2009

Advantages: Durability, Performs well, Quality, Value for money
"Target is a great value. I've shot into a higher priced, name brand target for years and this target is very comparable. I don't shoot broadheads into it - i've tore up too many targets!! Purchase with confidence."

Great Value,September 30, 2009
By JaredLfrom Byram, MS
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Value for money, Lightweight
"I got the 18x18x11. I shoot a Diamond Rapture at 70 lbs at about 300 fps. If you need a target to last you all year then this is not the one for you, but if you need one just to get you ready for and last through the season then this is a great buy. The arrows will go through the target, not to where it will mess up the fletching but there will be a few inches sticking out the other side (keep in mind this is the smaller target, I'm not sure about the larger one). It stops broadheads just fine but I would suggest shooting broadheads as little as possible at this target cause they seem to tear it up pretty good. The best way is after they pass through unscrew the broadhead then remove the arrow. It may take more time but it will make the target last longer. I also attached some pictures to show just how much they pass through... this is after about 250 shots and some went through places that were more worn than others."

Holds up well.,September 23, 2009
By MOBuckHunterfrom Columbia, MO
Advantages: Durability, Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Value for money Disadvantages: pianted dots are a joke
"I bought this target because it was cheap. The painted dots are a joke, but I have not been disappointed with it after a year of shooting. I shoot mostly a month before and during bow season. It's held up to me and my brother, both using field tips. I have noticed that the are softer areas developing but still no pass through. Great buy for the money."

Not Great, but good!,September 14, 2009
By Walkman88us
"Nice for the price but you get what you pay for. Handles field points well from bow but broadhead tears it up! Stops both compound and crossbow but crossbow goes too deep. Tears up fletching. Guess I'll have to spend over $100 to get what I want."

Better than expected,August 28, 2009
By Goosguyfrom Glenwood, Ia.
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Value for money, the black/white face makes it easier to aquire pin
"This is the first layered target I have purchased. I have always used bag targets in the past. The only reason I went to a block type target was because I was tired of always propping up the bag with old arrows or an object, then having to reset it because it would shift. But, the bag always has and still does serve its purpose. Anyway, my first impression is to say that the layered target performs just as well as the bag when it comes to stopping power using field points. I noticed no difference in the amount of penetration between the 2 of them when they are both new (no pass thru). Now, I will say you have to be careful using the term 'pass thru.' My idea of pass thru is different than the next guys. Pass thru to me means that the arrow came completely thru the other side and lying on the ground behind the target. Then there is an arrow that is burried up to its fletchings in the face of the target. And then there is an arrow that is exposed on the back side beyone the field point. To me these are just varying degrees of penetration. Not a pass thru like I described. And these are all stages of degredation in a target as it begins to wear out. Like any target, I do expect it to wear out eventually. That will be the true test is just how long that takes. But, as long as I stick to field points, I see no reason thus far that I won't get the same life expentancy as I do a bag. For those that it matters, I shoot a Bowtech, set at 61lbs., 28" arrows, and 100 grn. points. So, that said, guys shooting higher poundage, getting greater kinetic energy may experience different results, but wouldn't expect those results to vary when compared to a bag, maybe when compared to one of those solid foam targets made of similar material as a 3D target. I'd buy another when this one wears out. As long as that doesn't happen too quickly. Hope this helps clear any questions you may have had, or helps if you are having a hard time making a decision on this target, good luck."

Good portable target,August 20, 2009
By asmith7from Louisiana
Advantages: Durability, Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Value for money
"Pros: The first advantage to this target was that it is lightweight and easily portable, with a handle on top. It also has four different squares to shoot at, plus you can shoot the center for five good shooting locations. It has held up great to field points as I expected. Arrow removal is very easy. It is also MUCH more inexpensive than comparable products, so for the same price you could use two of these for the price of one other.
Cons: It does allow slight arrow pass through. When I shoot my bow at 60 pounds from 20 yards, the arrow will be sticking about 3 inches out of the back. This could provide a problem if you're shooting at really high speeds, but I don't know because I haven't tried it. It is also not great with broadheads, but what target really is? Even with my GlenDel buck, a broadhead will do a considerable amount of damage when removed. This can be expected and this target holds up as well as any other target to broadheads.
Conclusion: This product is great lightweight, portable target that provides multiple shooting areas. It is also MUCH cheaper than every other comparable target."

Works Great for my needs,August 11, 2009
By producttesterfrom Missouri
Advantages: Ease of use, Value for money, durability good with field tips Disadvantages: durability bad with broadheads
"This target will last a long time if you minumize your broadhead usage, and split up your point of impact across the whole target not just the squares. I would recommend this to the person who only shoots his bow for a couple weeks before and a few times through the season, only shooting broadheads a couple times. I wouldn't buy this if you plan on shooting all year for hours on end, or only using broadheads. another thing to lengthen life is to shoot at the target staight on as possible, the idea is split the sheets of foam and slide inbetween. Not poke a bunch of holes throughout the depth. What I do is set it on the ground and lean it back a little bit.
I only give it a 4 do to the fact the broadheads do so much damage even though it claims its not a problem."

Great target!,August 10, 2009
By NKram622from Conyers, GA
Advantages: Durability, Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Value for money
"I have only shot field tips at this target so far so I am not sure how the broadheads would do. It is very stable and allows for easy arrow removal. Nothing on this target has been affected by weather. You will need to repaint your own aim points after a while."

Ok for the price,May 14, 2009
By Thunder
Advantages: Performs well
"My father, brother and I are all archers and abused this target all summer long and throughout the archery season, with field points and broad heads. While the broad heads ripped more of it apart it still stopped the arrows of bows pushing 320 fps. Good target at a good price."

Good for price,March 27, 2009
By latt44from PA
"Again, this is another mediocre product for the price. The problem (which seperates this target from a better made target like the block) is the depth of the target. The target needs to be made a little thicker to ensure better arrow grab.
Nice target to carry along on hunting trips, but not so good for an everyday shooter."

Not Impressed,March 17, 2009
By NORTEXHUNTERfrom Denton, Tx
"I needed a target for my backyard shooting sessions so I went with this because it was on sale and looked like it was fairly well built. It holds up to field points well but it wears out quickly. Although it says that it is broadhead compatible, which is true, the use of broadheads will ensure that you make a trip back to BP every fews weeks. I shoot about 3 or 4 times a week for 2-3 hrs a day. Mostly just field points but occationally I shoot broadheads to figure out what I will be shooting during the season. I have foam falling out of it eveytime I shoot it now and clean pass throughs in the center of the target. I would not recommend this particular target to anyone who is looking for a quality target. To its credit, it is small, light, and easy to store but that is about all I will give it. Well that and the price, I guess you get what you pay for. Overall I can say that this is the only Redhead product that I feel that I have used and regretted purchasing."
