Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well Disadvantages: bears
"I only had mine for a few weeks but it worked very well, it's easy to charged and hook up to the camera. I can't really say too much about the battery life or durability because after only a few hours in the woods i had mine stolen by a bear. This is the last picture my camera took before he ran off with the battery."

Good Product,September 13, 2009

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well
"These battery packs really work well. Before my camera lasted about two weeks while taking about 250 photos, now it last at least 6 weeks and takes 750+ photos AND all I have to do is charge the battery instead of buying $10 worth of D batteries.
If you have a camera that requires the 6 volt battery pack and can't find one, just buy a 12 volt battery pack and exchange the 12 volt battery inside with a 6 volt. I had to do this and it works perfect."

Go For It !,December 22, 2008
By melztreazuresfrom Lorman, MS
"This is a winner. Mine does EXACTLY as described. No complicated hook up. Sustains under rainy and cold weather conditions. Left mine out for about a month once and it was in perfect condition when I got it."

Nice concept,December 20, 2008
By supremeweasel67from Clarksville, Tn
"We have been using these for about 2 years now at our hunting camp. I think we have 6 of these out. Overall they are a great concept. Have had the same issues as others with them collecting water. We have tried different things to alleviate this, but just doesn't seem to make a difference. Finally, we drilled 2 holes in bottom of box for drainage. This year we put a metal screen (like in your faucet) over the hole using epoxy cement. (We had a slight ant infestation without it). Everything seemed to work fine this year. Batteries seem to last fine (average 3-4 months) when Temps are between 45 and 70-75, anything lower or higher and the batteries do not seem to last as long. (average 30-45 days). Still this is better than most others, and easy enough to recharge. Will keep using them.
A side note is, that we have found if the battery gets direct sunlight, they do not seem to last as long. Not sure if this is the case for all of them, or just the batch we are using, but when we place them in a North and South direction deeper in the woods, we get longer battery life out of them."

Worth every penny,August 26, 2008
By mchris
"Great concept but the leaking box needs to be fixed. It really extends the run time of the camera and leak can be fixed with a plastic bag and zip tie. Would have been 5 stars easy with no leaks. I am going to give the Moultry power panel a try and see if I can eliminate charging all together."

Spend a little now save a lot later,December 3, 2007
By ATVRiderfrom Natchez MS
"Even though the case is not waterproof (mine isn't) as stated, I still give it a high rating. If you are into game cams, you know the expense of changing batteries. This will save you a lot in the long run and pay for itself in no time."

a must have!,September 21, 2007
By archer acefrom Big Buck State, Iowa
"I recently added this battery kit to my trail camera set up and what a great tool! You can set your camera up and leave the area for extended periods. No more dead "C" batteries to worry about. It worked great for me in the Iowa blizzards last year and just kept on snapping the pics! Get a high memory SD card for your camera and let it do its thing. I plan to add an additional camera to my set up this fall with another battery pack like this one. Very handy!"
