My favorite rod,February 28, 2008

"This was my first high end rod aside from some of the basspro combos. I bought the 7'6" Medium Gulf Spin. This is by far the best rod I have ever fished. I use this rod for Redfish, trout and tarpon. I can cast small plugs and minnows very far, and very accurately with this rod. I reccomend this rod to anyone who is looking for a quality rod for a fair price."

"Being a HUGE Falcon fan I can honestly say that the Coastal series is a magnificate combination of top notch parts and build quality. My favorite rod in the Coastal line has always been the "The Walk the Dog Special." Of course that has some to do with my preference of topwater action over anything else, but that's small beans. When mated with a super tuned reel such as my Steez or Revo Inshore this rod can litteraly throw a skitter walk a mile. That's not the best part either, it's tip and movement provide for great walk the dog action. My other favorite is the Wade fisher which is the 66M. This rod is my mirrolure rod and is a great all around setup with a decent backbone for smaller reds and trout. When fall comes and the Redfish run starts on the Texas coast I switch to the Redfish special which is the 7MH and throw them corks, sand eels, MR52's and even free line croaker from time to time. My Shimano 51mg feels at home but after the new Core and Revo Inshore debut I am rethinking my reel selections for the rest of my Coastal setups. *Note I highly recommend the Walk the Dog Special 69L, for a more spirited fishing experience. "Get the most bang for you dollars, that's what I say when aquiring Falcon Rods. They are by far the best blanks I have found .The cork grips for the best sensitivty and the stainless steel guides provide the best rust protection. These are just some of the reasons all of my buddies love these rods. After many years of fishing for Snook, Reds and trout along with the occasional Tarpon I have found that the Falcon Coastal spinner SS 66 M is the perfect rod when a thousand cast a day are in demand. The blanks as metioned earlier are very strong and extra light which spells a high end rod at a very affordable price. I ONLY FISH FALCON RODS PERIOD ! Do yourself a favor don't waist your money on other rods that will only make you mad, Falcon rods for me have provided lots of pleasure without breaking down when treated right."

Great rod, great service,November 7, 2006

"7' 6" model my "go to" rod for East Central Florida rivers and coastal flats when throwing swimming plugs, light jigs and topwaters. Casts like a bullet with 20 lb braid and has super sensitivity when bouncing jigs. Rod recently broke below tip during battle with a good snook and the factory replaced it for just the cost of postage within eight days of my mailing. You just can't beat it."
