"I have a 665 and by far it has the best drag system ever. It's like pouring water out of a pitcher. I did screw it up, the lever drag was all messed up I guess I bang it a couple times to many. I sent it back to accurate and they fixed it some what and sent it back. When I first engage the drag it held tight like 1/4 of an inch up now it doesn't engage until 1/2 to 3/4 way up to the little button.
I mainly use this reel for kite fishing, flat lining livies, and trolling for dolphin/wahoo/kings.
But with that all said it is the best reel I ever owned or fished in my life. I am buying another one for trolling."

"I own new model B-197c and old model B-665hxc. The B-197c is able to cast smaller baits with ease (the cast control helps out a lot). The drag and line capacity of this reel make it possible to land very large fish; it absolutely amazing considering the small size of the reel. I use B-197c when fishing the kelp beds at La Jolla (3 bar, calico, halibut, and yellow tail) or for party boats out of San Francisco (rock fish, ling cod, salmon, albacore, and striper). B-665hxc is big bad brother of the B-665hxc which I use for fly lining and jigging. I have landed Humboldt squid, yellow fin, sail fish, grouper, and wahoo with no problems. It harder to cast than the B-197c because there’s no cast control and the spool is much larger, but it possibly best casting reel in its line class. Fly lining live bait is excellent on this reel. The Drag is smooth and consistent during the hard and long runs of the pelagic fish I’m after. Both reels have extremely smooth and strong retrieves. My only gripe with these reels is the high price, but they are probably best conventional reels you can buy and worth every penny to the avid angler."

"I fish about 4-6 days a week for 3-4 hours a day in saltwater and this reel has with stood all the abuse of big game. I would recomend this reel to anyone who is really into fishing and wants the top of the line gear on their boat."

"Used mine (665H) on both coasts and for everything from Bluefins, Albies, and California Yellowtails to King Mackerel, Grouper, and Mahis (and a few times for big catfish in the Mississippi River-though a bit overkill there). Load it with superbraid and toss on a top shot and match it with a good rod and there will be few fish it won't land. Casts really well if you have a trained thumb, but has the best drag of any reel I own. Nice loud clicker. The one time in 6 years I had an issue the accurate folks fixed it post haste and sent in back inside the same week. Really tight tolerance between spool and frame make it great for superlines. It is light and has taken all the abuse I have heaped on it on long range and short range trips. Love it to death!"
