I own 11 of them and love them all!!!,
January 21, 2007
By Oldchopdocfrom Kentucky
"I bought my first XPS Woo Daves rods a few years back. I like to have plenty of rods on the boat in different sizes, rigged different ways so I can just grab another rod. Now I own 11 of these rods in different lengths and weights. I love them all for everything from panfish to Muskie! They are sensitive enough to feel everything that's happening under water, but have the perfect amount of backbone for nice, clean hook sets. Even in the worst cover, or up against the biggest fish they handle it with no problems. The handles stand up well, and are comfortable enough for a whole day of working the banks. The guides couldn't be better! I catch more fish on these rods than any of the others I own. With the optional balance weight set installed, you'll find your casts are more accurate, and much more productive. This is by far the best rod I've ever used at any price. When I grab rod that's not an XPS Extreme it feels odd to me now, and ends up strapped back down to the deck in no time. Slowly, but surely I'm replacing all of my old rods with these."

XPS a solid choice,
January 4, 2009
By tunafish101from Chicago. IL
"I've owned my extreme for 2 yrs now, bought the 7' medium 1 pc spinning. the sesitivity is superb & the action is fantastic. Basspro did a nice job with this rod. I've had no problems pulling LM bass in heavy cover, hooksetting a 13lb 5oz king salmon on lake michigan or finessing a smallmouth wading the fox...the only negatives I've had is the lack of a hook holder & the bottom balancing option, if you don't use the balancing kit (which I don't) the bottom tends to unscrew (come loose) when casting... I superglued mine on,and never looked back (doesn't affect performance). Did manage to break the tip on it (my fault, car...) and people at basspro swapped it out, & I was back on the water within the hour! if you can get it at the sale price (as I did) there is no better rod for the price...still a great choice at full retail, if even for the exchange policy alone."

"Don't you love it when you buy something and it seems to last you forever? I've have not replaced anything on this rod. I could write for years about this rod. I got mine on 7-6-2006, I have it for two years and a month. This rod has seen thousands of fish. I've taken it to the local ponds, lakes, and even on to the Long Island Sound. This rod has been on car trips, long hot trips in the sun and heat, in the rain...name a condition its been there. This is hands down THE most durable rod i've ever heard of. Granted I do baby it like its alive. Two years of use. And I fish in every season with it. Its taken brute Stripers and Blues as well as all the most common freshwater species.(Pickeral, Largies and Smallies, Perch, Panfish, Crappie, Rock Bass). This rod is EXTREMELY sensitive. I do have the weight system for it, but even before that it was great. I fish everything with mine. I know a lot of guys have multiple setups. I have one 6'6MH with a Pfluger President 6735 with a 5:2:1 gear ratio. I fish everything on this setup. If you have the money for multiple setups thats what you should do but you can't go wrong with what I have. Best bang for your buck setip I can find. And it still is 2 years later. I fish worms, spinnerbaits, topwaters, frogs. Everything. If you're looking for a new rod please do yourself a favor and seriously consider this!!! Here are some of the fish its take over time..."

Woo's 6'8''ML spinning,
July 6, 2008
By BIGhevyfrom So-cal
"Been using the rod for 2 months now. It defiinitely stepped my finesse game up a notch.. Sensitive and durable. Casts light baits precisely and is really fun to fight fish on. I really like it for light drop shot and light texas rigging. I hooked up on a monster bass on 6lb. test flouro. one day, the thing jumped once and went on a the hardest run ever straight under the boat behind me. I thought for sure the rod was going to snap the way it was bending but it was solid through the butt section. I got broke off and lost her but now I know I can depend on this rod,(not to mention learning I was setting my drag way to tight for my line size). Would reccomend this rod without hesitation."

April 28, 2008
By Tbone72from Joplin Mo.
"I bought the 6'8 spinning rod, as a back up to my St. Croix drop shot rod, and I think I like this rod Better!!! I caught it on an in store sale for $70.00, but I would gladly pay the regular $100.00 if I ever break this one. Awesome, sensative tip for any dropshotting!"

6'8" Medium light is awesome!!!,
March 23, 2008
By spudboyfrom Tracy, CA
"I've used the 6'8" a few times now and am convinced it has helped me land some nice fish. The rod has been so responsive. The action has enabled me to detect the softest of pressure bites we are having this month. Detecting the bite early has saved me from making the gullet hook set and has allowed to me the perfect lip hook sets! Once detected the strong back bone just nails em! I am so impressed with this set up I may even purchase another as backup."

Pure Performance,
February 9, 2008
By BigStoneBayfrom Winnipeg, MB
"Of a dozen rods in the rod-locker, only two are Extremes, but they’re the ones that get the most use. Three years ago I bought a Woo Daves 6’6” MH with a Stradic spinning-reel as a combo set. The value seemed impossible to beat. I was hoping to use it as a jigging-rig for walleyes, but as a MH it was a little too insensitive. So I started using it purely as a casting rod and I’ve never looked back. Accurate, super light, great grip, quick tip, incredible backbone…it’s landed bass, walleye, northern, lake trout…you name it. Last year I added a 7’0” M Extreme Woo Daves to the collection for those times when a little more casting distance is useful. It’s just as much fun as the 6’6” MH. I have another name-brand spinning rod that cost me twice what I paid for the Extremes…it sits at the bottom of the locker without a reel on it."

Great Rod for the $$$,
January 30, 2008
By KYbassinfrom Louisville, KY
"This is a great rod for any price, especially for under $100. The high modulus (60 million) graphite is extremely sensitive and lightweight. I have the 6'8'' ML rod and it is very fun to fish with. It's big enough to handle a good bass, but light enough to make even a bluegill fun to catch. I would give it 5 stars, but it doesn't have a hook keeper, which doesn't seem like a big deal, but when you get used to having one, you come to expect it. And also, the reel seat handle isn't exactly what I would like. The whole cork twists onto the reel and it feels like, if I tighten it too much, I will crack the plastic in the handle. It holds the reel tightly in place, and I haven't cracked it, but it scares me sometimes. Other rods have a metal ring that slides over the reel and threads into place. This seems like a better idea to me. Like I said, I haven't had any problems with it, but I'm just not crazy about the concept. Overall this a great rod, that is comparable to much more expensive rods...and watch for it to go on sale for $64.99 quite often."

High quality/low price,
December 25, 2007
By OHbassaholicfrom Central, OH
"The Woo Daves signature series rods are worth 2-3 times the price. I have had a couple since 2000 and have been very satisfied with the feel and durability. Recently, I purchased the 6'8" ml spinning rod with handle "C". This new rod is as light as rods I have owned costing 4 times as much that are custom made. You better believe I will be recommending these still after so many good experiences with this line of rods.
