beginner kayaking,

"I purchased my Kayak and spent the weekend getting comfortable with it. I am a small-framed female with some disability but I really wanted to be able to go on the water especially to fish those hard to reach spots. I needed something very lightweight, affordable, and safe to handle solo. My Otter Ka;yak has exceeded my expectations. It is easy to load and unload from my compact car and I can get it into and out of the water with ease. It has a very stable platform, is very easy to maneuver and I have only one regret...that I didn't purchase it earlier in the Summer! I had ample room for myself, my tackle box and had no trouble fishing from my Kayak, except that they weren't biting very well. I would highly recommend this for beginners and especially for women and kids."

"I purchased two of them and used them on the lakes, rivers and creeks. I have even used them on small water falls and no problem with roll overs. Very light and stable. I think it is more of a beginner Kayak and will probably move to a 13ft Kayak in spring time. You will enjoy this product, do not hesitate to buy."

Great all around yak,

"Bought this yak this summer. Tracks well and is stable, great for beginners. I am 6'1" and 230 pounds and very comformtable in boat. Let my 9 year old son use it and he had absolutely no problems handling it. Wish I had a couple more the rest of the famliy."

"I totaly love this yak. it handels great. i took it 2 a lesson and was just as good as all the adults(im onley 13). this is great 4 every1. my dad is even thinking aboute buying 1. And its realy short so u can edge it around fishing line and rocks and logs, it RULES!!!!!!!"

"First kayak for us! Lots of fun!! Very stable and maneureable (ms). Easy to move in a straight line. I'm 6' tall and the placement of the foot rests fully extended was still to short for me, which made it uncomfortable for long trips. However, it is perfect for my wife (5'8") and especially for the kids. Oh darn, I'll just have to buy a 12' Kayak for me."

"I first went kayaking in Morro Bay. I loved it!after that I started to look for a kayak. Soon I found the Otter. When I got it on christmas I tryed it out in my pool. It was great. When I took it to Lake Havasu It handleed great aginst the wind, current and rough water. It is also very stable, light fast and maneuverable. I would recomend this kayak to most beginners."

"Have one, and buying two more for Christmas of 2006. This boat is perfect for older floaters. It is easy in and out unlike most White Water or Specialised White Water Boats. This can carry overweight persons easily, ( Not everyone is 150 and Young per other manufacturers specs.) At 56 years of age, it keeps me on the river. This is easy to store live bait and your rod, gets you into tight spots to fish that a motor boat will not. It is more stable than any of the more expensive boats, and is the most durable Kayak you can buy. Like all Old Town products its tuff stuff, that is very affordable quality. You would expect to pay double what you are pricing these for. I know from Years of White Water Paddeling in my Youth. Mine has been beat, banged, run over, and has flown off my rack carrier at 55 MPH. This one still does not leak, and still floats as good as it did on Day One. Getting Older, and physically Challenged? This is perfect for me, after Open Heart Surgery it helps me keep in shape. I do Walk but spend most time paddling and fishing on the Lakes, and Rivers of Southern Missouri's Orark Country. This Otter has helped me to be in better shape than I was before the Heart Trouble started. My Brother In Law and Sister are 10 years older than myself and they bought Two (2) at Bass Pro in Springfield. I not only recomend them to friends, but let them try it out !!"

STABLE & FAST !,

"My first outing was on Percy Priest Lake above the dam on a very windy day.I carried it from my truck to the water it was so light,sat it half in the lake hopped in and was off.I could not believe the speed and stability of this thing.It made me feel like a kid again,I'm completely addicted and plan to purchase another very soon."
