Gary Yamamoto Senko - 5''

Product Reviews

Gary Yamamoto Senko - 5''

Tested and proven on California lunkers, Gary Yamamoto’s Senko has quickly become a sensation throughout the United States. The Senko is salt impregnated, has a healthy profile, casts like a bullet, and features a unique smooth-and-even horizontal fall when fished weightless or wacky style. It’s not magic, but it’s pretty darn close. 10 pack.

Senko Baits Are Simply The Best, June 29, 2007
By Canadian Fisherman

"Since discovering Yamamoto Senko Baits at a fishing demonstration about two years ago, I've used almost nothing else. They simply out-perform everything else I've tried, it's really quite amazing. The 5" Senko doesn't look fancy, but it catches fish consistently. It has enough weight to cast quite far without a sinker, and is easy to rig weedless on a worm hook. For some reason, Senko baits just trigger strike after strike, I don't understand why, but they do. I've told several other people about them, and they've had similar results. I never go out now without a full compliment of Yamamoto baits in my tackle box!"

Great Baits, July 2, 2008
By profisher2444 from Illinois

"These are the best! They are in my go to bag and always produce fish even when the bite is tough. Whether it be wacky to texas rigged it doesn't matter these just flat out produce! Watermelon and Green Pumpkin have produced best for me. Rig them weightless and cast anywhere."

"I can't remember how many fish I've caught with this worm. When all else fails, I'll put on the senco and beat the skunk off the boat. Great product."

Gary Yamamoto Senko 5", May 27, 2008
By stripersnlarrys

"this is a great fish catching bait. just cast it practicaly anywhere, and with little effort you have a fish. you practicaly can't go wrong with these baits as to rigging styles. the only reason i give these a four is the fact that they are a bit pricey and not as durable as some other plastics, but they are still very much worth every penny."

senko worms, May 15, 2008
By Donnij

"I just got back from Lake Champlain and need to reorder senko worms. We caught 80 bass today and the majority were on senko wacky worms. They are the best soft baits on the market. My favorite color is watermelon. Good luck fishing"

"Everyone has used their share of imitation worm baits but nothing will ever compare to Gary Yamamoto's Senko.

I tend to fish them wacky, weightless, and using the O-Wacky Tool (available at basspro.com) you can literally use the same Senko all day long unless your line breaks.

Simply cast, let it sink to the bottom, pick up the line, let it sink again... Repeat until you nail a monster!

I was first introduced to Senkos by a fishing buddy I went to high school with. I have since never gone fishing without them in my tackle box.

For me, nothing has been more reliable to consistently catch nice fish. I would recommend this product to anyone, beginner to advanced."

"Relatively new to Largemouth fishing, but since I started using the Gary Yamamoto I've been getting lots of action. I'm riggin' it weightless with just a 2/0 wide gap hook. Anything with purple in it has been working great for me in CA.
Check out my latest catch using this 5" senko!"

Best Beginner Bait Ever, March 7, 2008
By ohquazee from Portage, MI

"I'm an avid bass fisherman, certainly no pro, but senko's can make me feel like a pro. They are so easy to fish and catch numbers of bass when they aren't hitting anything else. I rig them wacky style on a #2 octopus hook primarily. Cast them out anywhere, let them fall to the bottom then lift and feel for a bite, if surprisingly you don't have a fish already, let it fall again. I've never been more excited about using a bait in my life! Anyone can catch a ton of fish on them, you just have to try them."

Best soft bait ever!!!!!!!!!!, March 6, 2008
By sicknasty from Baltimore, MD

"This soft bait is the best i have ever used. I started bass fishing like 3 years ago with traditional rubber worms with cone weights. The senko needs no additional weight added, it does all the work for you. Bass tear it up. I have even caught pike with the senko, they love it too. It is the funnest soft bait i have ever used."

Senko's & Fat Ika's are the BEST!!!!, March 3, 2008
By BigBassSlayer from San Diego, CA.

"Senko's are by far one of the best products out there for promised action. The Watermelon/Blk Flake are my favorite ones to use. Also if you really want to catch alot of bass use the Fat Ika's in the same color. Every store I go to they are always out the Fat Ika's and BPS needs to get them in. Senko's and Fat Ika's are my first 2 baits I usually use first."

Best Worm Ever!, March 1, 2008
By SouthFLcanalhawgs from Port St. Lucie, Fl

"I buy these in Watermelon/Green/Red all the time... fish kill them in that color... clear or stained water, doesnt matter. I also use the black & pumkin/black/green... dont use a hook under 5/0 wide gap... I usually use a 5/0 gamaktsu wide gap if they are biting agressively... if its a lil more slow of a bite I use the Owner oversized worm hooks in 7/0... rig weightless, they have enough weight and if you texas rig em then you might as well drag em on the bottom... and they work better for me weightless, fish it just like a jerkbait... but a lil slower like finess or grass jigging, trust me it works better... the yum dingers have nothing on these."

Number One Bait, February 4, 2008
By NewMexico from Kirtland, New Mexico

"I'd like to start off by saying this is an AWESOME bait! I live out in New Mexico and for the past few years have been fishing a local power plant lake(Morgan Lake for all you New Mexicans out there). Up to this point i have been fishing off of the bank with a variety of lures but the most productive lure has been yamamoto's 5" and 4" senko(and kinami's 4"). The watermellon, green pumpkin, and pumpkin colors are awesome, i especially like the watermellon/green pumpkin laminate. I recently even caught a 10 pound bass on one of these... so try one out and hold on for a fight"

My Go-To Bait, January 30, 2008
By KYbassin from Louisville, KY

"This is my go-to bait. I have caught more bass on these baits than all the other lures in my tackle box combined. This is the first thing I tie on, and it ALWAYS produces. Rig it wacky style or weedless, I like weedless because it still has good action and it doesn't get hung up. Throw it right next to any kind of wood cover and let it fall. I'll even let it sit on the bottom for a minute, because many times the bass will pick it right up off the floor. If there are no takers, I'll lift it up a few feet and let it flutter down again. But you don't have to fish it this way, I've caught quite a few bass by twitching it back in shallow water, even a couple walleye. Yes the Yamamoto baits are more expensive than others, but that's because they're worth every penny. I won't buy anything else because I know it's impossible for it work better than this one."

simply the best, January 20, 2008
By 1fatbilly from NH

"by far the best & easiest lure to use, hook it up wacky style right through the middle let her sink a little a couple of small jerks and BANG fish-on. the only complaint I have is I've lost a lot of these when a fish hooks on but worth the catch. Im eager to see how the wacky o ring savers will work. I like the red shad color but really havent found a color that doesn't work."

Good Product, January 14, 2008
By Anonymous Reviewer from Lake Worth, FL

"The Gary Yamamoto senko is a great choice if you want to catch fish but the price is way to much and they rip to easily. You are lucky to get 2 fish out of one worm. The wave worms are just as good and have the price and they don't rip as easily."
