Great trolling motor!!!, January 10, 2009
By Gilbert from Central California

"Ive purchased the Thruster 54 ht trolling motor for a roommates boat and tried it out at the local lake. This trolling motor is a steal for its low low price! Let me tell you that this thing cooks at full speed!!! We were flying, I couldn't believe it. The slow speeds are great too, very easy to maneuver the boat. Great motor!"

Dependable Power, November 19, 2007
By Baldeagle from Dallas, TX

"I have this model mounted on a 10' Pond Prowler, but I have also used it on a 14' jonboat. It works flawlessly and is priced to be extremely affordable. It's just good, basic, dependable power for your boating needs. Even in windy conditions, this model delivers dependable power."

Rugged Trolling Motor, June 28, 2007
By bob z

"I use a 36lb thrust motor on a 14' aluminum fishing boat.
Plenty of power on lowest setting.
Pulls the boat quickly on the medium and high speed settings.
Takes alot of abuse.
I have grinded it on rocks and bottoms of lakes with no problems.
Just carefully file down the blades of prop if necessary.
It is easy to untangle weeds from motor shaft with a wing nut.
I will definitely buy another Motorguide Troller.

"I use the 54 lb thrust model on my 11' inflataable and it has served me well. My only criticism is that it vibraates badly on the highest speed setting."
