"The Flippn' Craw works so well on a Texas Rig with a pegged weight. In a pinch it can also be used as a jig trailer. It is compact so it does not hang up in cover. The colors that I have caught bass on are PB&J, and Crawberry."

"If you are an angler like me, you love fishing craws and you love fishing beavers. But wouldn't it be great to find a bait with features of the best of both worlds? Well, here it is! Leave it to Bass Pro Shops to create another high-quality soft plastic bait! The flippin craw has a thick, flat, beaver-type body; great for flipping or texas rigging. The beefy body is also loaded with salt, making this bait have a nice sink rate, and have a super soft body, which collapses on the hook point easier so bass hold on longer, and hooksets are easier. However, the bait is still VERY durable, so it holds onto hooks well, and stands up fish after fish. Now the claws. Unlike a beaver, this bait has "craw claws," which is great for more natural presentations, finesse fishing, or clear water/ close quarters fishing, such as flipping. I think the claws actually excel in many more presentations than beaver flappers. All in all, this bait is one of the best baits I have used! I fish it on a G. Loomis GLX with a Shimano Core, and 30lb. braided line. I really like flipping, carolina-rigging, and texas rigging this bait. My favorite color is green pumpkinseed or roadkill combo."

Best C-rig bait I have ever used,November 18, 2007

"You gotta hand it to bass pro shops for making some of the best and most affordable baits on the market. I prefer these craws to sweet beavers and fell in love with them for Carolina rigging. The plastic is not that durable, but they more than make up for that in quantity for the price and fish catching ability. I C-rig these in the California Delta and Clearlake all year round and catch a ton of toads on them. I love the watermelon red flake, but all the colors are great. If you love beavers or c-rigging lizards, give these a try, you will not be dissapointed. I have had my best C-rigging days with these and have smoked my buddies who were using lizards."

"No doubt- best craw on the market today. Can be fished by itself easily cut down for jig trailer Have caught many 2-3lb bass in heavy cover using this bait only with 4-5 size hook. Easy to cut and glue making your own color combinatins as well. Need more color variety produced on this critter. Excellent value! (note the package count and price)"

"If your a successful bass fisherman you know that one of your primary patterns should be flippin to heavy cover. Bass Pro's Flippin Craw is the absolute best flippin bait I have used in years. From heavy grass mats in Florida to log jambed lakes and river systems throughout America. The Flippin Craw is so life like that bass can't resist it. The slower fall rate allows me to peg a heavier weight to this bait in order to penetrate heavier cover where the better fish tend to live. I carry 3 flippin rigs in my boat, all equpiied with Bass Pro's Flippin Craw."
