"These rods are inexpensive but don't let that fool you. I have 4 of these rods! You just can't beat the performance or the price. What I love best is the small diameter of the reel seat area. If you have a thick diameter reel seat area (where you hold the rod) you start to feel fatigue in your forearm and hand. I can fish this rod all day long no problem! I highly,highly recommend this rod!!!!!!!"

"I have 2 Shimano FX 9 foot rods, one with an Okuma AV80 and one with an Okuma AV80a, using 20lb Mono on both. I get incredible distance casts and I can't say enough about the action, from everything from porgies, blacks, sea bass, fluke, to stripers and blues. I fish piers, shorelines and bays, depending on the fishing reports and weather. Keep it simple, ask a lot of questions. Tight lines."

"I used it for freshwater fishing and it pulls in fish like nothing. but last month when i was cat fishing the eye broke off but that didn't stop me from getting another one"
